I have been working at Coty full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    Compensation, Benefits and 401K plan

    Cons

Sexual harassment, discrimination against women and mothers. No one to report issues to without fear of losing your job. Managers who will not lead or cannot and have no interest in developing a team. Threaten to lose your job daily. High stress level with no work life balance.

    Advice to Management

Deal with male management before a law suit occurs. Check out claims and care how your female employees are treated. Time to own your mission statement.

Constant changes in top management and teams, coupled with a poor strategic vision and a lack of structure make Coty difficult these days. Inexistant career path.

I worked at Coty full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The only “Pro” was working in the Empire State Building.

    Cons

I was hired right before the merger. I thought it would be a great learning experience for me. And was sold on the opportunity for growth because of the P&G merger by the recruiter. 1. No training: you’re expected to just figure everything out via trial and error. No one offers to help you. You have to learn how to do everything on your own while simultaneously trying to meet unrealistic deadlines. 2. Unrealistic...

I have been working at Coty full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Biggest names in beauty, positive leadership and CEO sentiment, challenging team members, strong HR team

    Cons

Bullying atmosphere, extremely competitive, understaffed, low compensation in exchange, difficult to assign job titles,. Not the place to "have fun and play with beauty". Very little work / life balance. Must be very tough to combat the challenges.

    Advice to Management

    Train all employees in leadership

I have been working at Coty full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Opportunity and growth if you are-- 1) Attractive 2) Obedient 3) "fun"

    Cons

No work life balance. Able to work from home but get emails and calls all day. Aggressive deadlines lead to finger pointing. Leadership is very gossipy. Bosses act like this is still the 1960s. Mad Men wannabee culture. Women who speak up are being told to be less emotional by leadership - rather than being heard. #TimesUp

    Advice to Management

Stop soliciting employees to write positive reviews to off-set the handful of honest ones. 4 short positive reviews all on the same day? Are you serious?

I have been working at Coty full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good work life balance and flexibility. Fair base pay. Very nice office space in NY. Many nice coworkers trying to please the leadership.

    Cons

Communication is not very good. Upper management doesn't seem to care about employees and seems like they want people to quit.

    Advice to Management

Show the employees that you value what they are doing and actually want them to be here

I have been working at Coty full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

6% 401k match, good vacation policy, good peers, good location

    Cons

MANAGEMENT at all levels, high turn over, work life balance, human resources, parental leave, hours of operation

    Advice to Management

Develop yourselves as managers then develop your direct reports. Your teams may be happier and stay longer if you offer more than just a paycheck (e.g. professional development). The hierarchy of titles is really sad. We all bring value to the company independent of our titles.

Focus on the people who are still with Coty, boost morale, and buy brands that are up and coming - not ones that have peaked
