I have been working at Country Fair full-time

    Pros

Discount on food service, easy to get desired full time hours, shift differential, pretty easy to learn, most of the regulars are pretty awesome, advancement is pretty easy as long as you work hard

    Cons

Lots of drama at my store, gossip, some people are lazy and then will get on others about certain things

    Advice to Management

Don't feed into drama. It only makes matters worse when management decides to get involved in the store drama when they should really be trying to dissolve it.

I worked at Country Fair part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Seeing regulars is always nice, people I worked with were, for the most part, good people

    Cons

My raises always came months after I had earned them under corporate policy, corporate policy was sometimes incredibly frustrating and conflicted with providing good customer service

I worked at Country Fair (Less than a year)

    Pros

You can sometimes get free rides but it depends on your manager on the night of your shift

    Cons

Lowest pay possible. This job is for young kids looking to get a summer job

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees more money. Plain and simple. Also show some respect to people who are working hard

I worked at Country Fair part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good teamwork with long-time coworkers. Seeing the regular customers. Can easily move up to shift manager.

    Cons

Management was awful at my store, not understanding or appreciating employees. She had temper tantrums, swore, and was way too emotional. The job sucks or is ok, depending on who your manager is. Very small raises at reviews, if you ever got one. Hard work (especially in food prep) with little pay. You won't know your schedule until the end of the week before.

    Advice to Management

Support employees, don't belittle them. Make notes of exceptional performance in an employee's file -- going the extra mile for a customer, staying late when asked, filling in for an absent employee, etc.
