    Pros

    NONE. With the exception of a few lone fabulous individuals this organization is unprofessional, highly political back stabbing, poorly managed, nightmare.

    Cons

    Executive management is completely out of touch, operate separately of employees. Lay off's and firing's every month. Constant changing of plans, teams and priorities, no actual planning or communication. Everything is about making this month's numbers; and it does not matter how they are achieved. No career development or real opportunity.

    Advice to Management

    Stop actingand speaking to your employees like bullies on the 3rd grade playground

    Pros

    Most engineers are good to great, and it is mostly a cooporative environment. Top management has a good vision and communication of that. Good benefits with catered lunches and flexible vacation policy. Pro-active in getting employees to volunteer in the community at large.

    Cons

    Stuck with some old technology that should have been migrated away from long ago. Middle management seems to lack the vision and strength to prioritize and focus on the important few instead of the sea of possibilities.

    Advice to Management

    Give middle managers the ability to made decisions without so many layers of approval and review.

    Pros

    Free lunches, beverages, lots of team building activities. Awesome close-knit coworkers, great technology. Excellent pay. Easy to get promoted if you put in the time. Great mentorship by non-management co-workers.

    Cons

    Constant change in management, lots of turnover. Change in Operations middle management was a downfall because all the good managers leave. Going public caused lots of cuts to staff. They will continue to move staff to Ohio & eventually overseas because salaries are lower there which helps the bottom line but not good if you want to stay in Silicon Valley.

    Advice to Management

    Have some consistency in middle management and the turnover will lessen.

    I have been with Coupons.com for 4+ years and my experience has been very positive. Coupons.com is a leader in the industry, well managed and management has always treated me fairly.

    Cons

    We work a lot, so if you are considering a career here be prepared to put in a lot of hours.

    Pros

    The company has an overall pretty relaxed atmosphere. Unlimited vacation time, unlimited sick time, not very strict work from home rules, flexible hours, free lunch, snacks, drinks, etc. Pretty much the usual for a company in Silicon Valley/Bay Area.

    Cons

    Absolutely no personal growth or development. What's worse, employees are vocal about wanting to grow and at the very least be developed into a stronger individual contributor/employee but management just wants their employees to shove their heads into their computer screens and work work work. What makes things EVEN WORSE is that management knows about morale issues but haven't made any effort to make things better. They may have a couple of meetings to make plans about how they can make things better but after the meeting it's like the meeting never happened. Management follows up and focuses on the absolute wrong things and has no idea what their employees do day to day. There are current individual contributors who can help turn things around and these are the individuals that need to be in management roles, people that are well respected amongst their peers, focuses on motivating team members, and can develop others into stronger employees.

    Advice to Management

    There's too much corporate politics and it's led by management! Open your eyes management or you're going to lose all your top talent!

    Pros

    Lots of perks like other hi-tech companies like free shuttle, free lunch, etc. Generally everyone is very friendly and social.

    Cons

    There is no career development for many employees. They don't value loyalty. Company does not encourage to hire within. Upper management turns a blind eye to the high turnover rate. People get let go and there are no announcements

    Advice to Management

    Inspect teams with high turnover, focus on career development, encourage work/life balance, discourage secrecy

    Pros

    Very few pros, although they do have a decent client base.

    Cons

    Enormous turnover, no brand, HR or internal communications. little regard for employees, its all talk. CEO is huge micromanager - employees just expected to react, never question the status quo.

    Advice to Management

    Welcome ideas, your employes are not robots. There is more to life than the IPO and money. If you treated employees and customers better you would reduce your attrition in your CPG customers who are flocking to other providers.
