I worked at Coventry Health Care full-time

    Pros

Good training and support. Ongoing education a plus, great benefits and decent pay.

    Cons

Technical issues that tech support struggled with, turned out it was due to an incomplete technical profile for me that had to be continually updated. Spent many hours on the phone with tech support.

    Advice to Management

Require tech support to set up a complete and accurate employee profile for every employee at the outset, so as to not waste time later.

I have been working at Coventry Health Care full-time

    Pros

Management does not micro manage. Lots of autonomy, ability to work from home and set own hours. The pay and benefits are good.

    Cons

Difficult to take time off and not return to a heavy work load. It also depends on your team mates. If you are on a good team it is easier. Not everyone pulls there weight. Due to many employees work from home so difficult to manage what they are doing. No penalty for those who are not doing fair share of work.

    Advice to Management

Reward those who do a good job and actually work.

I worked at Coventry Health Care full-time

    Pros

Lots of online classes available; nice people to work with; regularly scheduled reviews. Culture seems to genuinely promote diversity and life-work balance.

    Cons

Constant lay-offs make it difficult to feel secure in ones job. Also, the work loads just keep getting heavier the more staff they lay off. A lot of time is wasted googling information necessary to do a task.

    Advice to Management

Focus more energy on updating job-related training.

The company is not as concerned about work-life balance as it should be. Case management is a very stressful field and more supports should be in place on a larger level.
