I worked at Coventry Health Care full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits 100% match on first 6% of 401 k. They provide you with a decent computer and an excellent printer. The iPhone provided was also updated and in good order.

    Cons

I should have negotiated a much higher salary given the demands that were placed on me. You will work a minimum of 50 hours a week and get paid for 40. No sick time given this comes from your vacation. They have particular account instructions for each one of their customers that are extremely detailed and confusing. No one could keep up with meeting these strict guidelines and we were constantly chastised for missing details.

    Advice to Management

Be more honest with your employees when you are hiring them that there are many activities they will do that they get no credit for toward their hourly goal of 40 hours per week for full-time many activities and tasks are simply not paid for. Also okay you're experienced employees what you pay the other ones and maybe they won't quit so quickly.

I worked at Coventry Health Care full-time

    Pros

401k matching, healthcare, short term and long term disability

    Cons

You are given a salary that is not real. You are given a billing requirement every month to get your salary. The actual time you take to go to appointments, file work, reports, is cut to an extreme by the company that you have to work twice as hard to get your salary. You have to wait weeks to get your mileage reimbursement. They do not tell you they are cutting your salary and time, they just do it and they will not answer you if you ask about it. Each month your billing can be cut up to 15 hours. The required monthly hours do not include lunches, and breaks. They exceed 40 hours a week. Unethical company.

I worked at Coventry Health Care full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Varied projects with the chance to take on more responsibilities. Some of the people are decent to work with.

    Cons

Small and understaffed compliance department often requiring individuals to take on more than one person can handle.

    Advice to Management

Salaries at Coventry are much less than those paid at similar organizations. Reward your people for their hard work.
