I worked at Covestic full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Has some pretty cool contracts with different companies and has been growing pretty consistently over the tenure I worked there.

    Cons

Mid-sized tech contract company who still thinks of themselves as a small-sized company. Functions that should have standardized processes/workflows/turnarounds, like employee reviews/feedback, compensation increases, and contract based bonuses, are delayed at best and non-existent in some cases. The communications and feedback chain is broken in too many places. Company promised well documented pay bands for each role to reduce the favoritism based salaries that the previous contract company struggled with but has continued vastly underpaying some employees while overpaying others.

    Advice to Management

Get your act together. Regular quarterly and yearly employment functions shouldn't be a struggle to have completed every time. Feedback needs to flow both up and down the management chain.

I worked at Covestic full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I can only speak to jobs located on the Microsoft campus:
The Microsoft FTE's I worked with were very always very willing to answer questions and help with my learning and understanding.
The pay was relatively good for the region.

    Cons

Poor communication. Things must trickle down from Covestic thru your Microsoft FTE report and then to you.
No availability for advancement or conversion to FTE
Anything else would be unique to the organizational structure of the group I was in.

    Advice to Management

Make a point that managers meet with reports on a regular basis.

I have been working at Covestic (More than a year)

    Pros

Well organized and great feedback from delivery managers, quality control was very good in terms of determining well-qualified requisitions that came to recruiting.

    Cons

No room for advancement. Sometimes leadership was not aware of support needed for recruiters. Not willing to invest in needed resources for better recruiting tools.

I have been working at Covestic full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

After working with a Covestic contract position for over 1 1/2 years they had to let some people go which can be tough. Covestic was able to find another job for me in less then a week. They were so helpful and everyone was just awesome to work with during the transitional period. I have loved working with them.

    Cons

Benefits could use some work but the over all experience working there has been great.

    Advice to Management

Management teams have been awesome to work with.

    Pros

Not much, management was only interested in placing bodies in any role to make money.

    Cons

The account management never got involved and was missing for months on end.

    Advice to Management

Get involved, work a little harder,

I worked at Covestic full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Comprehensive and attractive benefits package.

    Cons

Unfortunately, Covestic does not provide any "security" to their contracts. The contract I was in was supposed to be non-expiring. The contract ended after 5 weeks because of client re-structuring. Covestic has very unreliable contracts. There is extremely low morale of the other contractors on-site. Many of them quit without notice in my first month of my employment. Management and senior staff will not assist in finding an "equal" contract at any of their other client sites.

    Advice to Management

Support a policy to guarantee an employee's pay for a length of time if the contract ends abruptly after beginning it. There needs to be better communication between the client and Covestic so that Covestic is looking at longevity of contracts and steps to take if one ends early to guarantee and look out for the best interest of their employees. Staff and senior management need to be more professional when handling subordinates. Staff and senior management need to also help their employees more to find another suitable position when a contract abruptly ends. I was on my own and was never contacted with alternative opportunities after I was given news of the re-structure.

I have been working at Covestic full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good people, pretty loyal staff, and most people have postive things to say about the company. They have treated my very fairly and has come across transparent and ethical. Management seems to care about the employees in the field and answers questions when asked and provides as much support as they can.

    Cons

Continue to increase footprint and name recognition in the Seattle market. They do great work, but not many know about it.
