I have been working at Covetrus full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

There is a lot of diversity of work, and if you enjoy the field then you can easily find something that keeps work interesting. If you prefer stable and continuous work on proven technology, or if you want to work on the latest innovations in the industry; you'll probably be able to find a team happy to have you. And you'll find yourself happy to have them around as well.

    Cons

Covetrus as a whole is pretty new, even though all the parts of it are old. As a result, you get a weird combination of innovative and stagnate ideas/methodologies, that require some real mind-bending to meld together. Growth can be incredibly slow because of out-dated and seemingly arbitrary guidelines on annual/merit based raises and promotions. If you come in, expect to stay near your starting salary for awhile, so negotiate accordingly.

I have been working at Covetrus full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Good pay, flexible hours, PTO

    Cons

The company is expanding rapidly, and earlier this year, the issue was that we didn't have enough people and everyone over worked and stressed. Now we have plenty of people and not enough leads or general help. A call will come in that you need assistance with, and you will wait for over 10 minutes to get help from a lead or supervisor. The wait time is so long and ridiculous for any support that many client just hang up. The leads and supervisors have spread themselves thin and just created a new problem by hiring a bunch of people, and then not provide enough help to go around.

I have been working at Covetrus full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Covetrus has been handling the COVID pandemic with a lot of flexibility. With many employees working remotely, we were able to bring work equipment home to help make the transition easier. Management, including senior management, is easily accessible and communicates with employees. Very transparent.

    Cons

A year after the merger, the business feels more focused and ready to build.

I have been working at Covetrus full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Working at Covetrus has been a thrilling time, from merging together to ironing out the kinks to finding and establishing our place in the animal health industry. If learning new technology and working in a large innovative enterprise is something you are interested in Covetrus is the place for you.

    Cons

Cons are only for folks who get lost in the change and aren't open to it. If Change during a time when a company is new and growing isn't something that motivates you then Covetrus isn't the place for you.

    Pros

Good people to work for that have made some great moves recently in the marketplace.

    Cons

The vision seems to change from year to year and you start fresh again with more work yet the salary only decreases or stays the same.

I have been working at Covetrus full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Agile development practices, modern tech stack, great devops support, competitive compensation and great benefits. Get in on the RSU as the stock has huge upside potential.

    Cons

This is a company created from merging a scrappy disruptive start-up and a powerhouse distribution business. You couldn't find two more disparate corporate cultures and to say that the post-merger period was a bloodbath isn't much of an understatement. There were and continue to be significant challenges and a lot of the hard work is still ahead, but there now exists a very modern technology company addressing disruptive aspects of the animal health industry with the backing of a sector-dominating sales and distribution organization.
