I worked at Covisint full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible work hours, access to latest technology and learning about digital transformation initiatives in a wide variety of industries and domains. Very polite people and chill co-workers.

    Cons

Vision-less and fragmented executive leadership team that works hard to undermine each other. SVP of Technolgy (CTO) is like a kid who likes to play with the latest and shiniest toy and gets bored quickly and moves on to new buzz words.

    Advice to Management

Given the fact that Covisint is supposedly trying to be a product company, the CEO needs to force some accountability from SVP Technology and Product engineering. CTO needs to be better informed about technology trends and should plan road shows educating existing and potential customers about product capabilities and differentiators. CTO needs to stop hiding behind his subordinates and needs to start contributing ideas towards product road map or technology differentiators.

Product engineering group needs to stop misleading Sales, Product Marketing, Operations and Customer Success teams. The only claims they should be allowed to make should be through demonstrations of working software, not slide ware made up by overactive imagination of senior leaders.

I worked at Covisint full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible hours, ONLY if you had the right boss / projects
HR really tried to engage in fun activities
    Good coffee

    Cons

-Management is a herd of insecure ostriches with little regard for integrity
-People who do the work are treated as disposable
-Detroit was too expensive, but we had to have an office in the most expensive real estate in the bay area?
-Serious good old boys network here. Forget advancement unless you're already one of them.

    Advice to Management

Either take inventory of your mistakes and make real efforts to put people who will do the RIGHT thing in to positions of authority or just clear out. What was a good product supported by good teams is losing its chance because of your unwillingness to see that the emperors have no clothes (and often questionable morals).

    Pros

I am happy at Covisint so far. My team members are very nice, my manager supporting and I like where we are heading with our platform. I have made great professional and personal friendships over the years.

    Cons

The company's changing and a few folks are not embracing it. That leads to pockets of negativity, including exaggerations like some Glassdor reviews and other forms of "loud" venting that do not represent my experience and that of most of my coworkers.

I have been working at Covisint full-time

    Pros

HR tried their best to organize many activities
Facilities tried their best to make the office neat and modern

    Cons

Weak management team - no vision and leadership
Corrupted culture - can't attract and keep talent
Innovation blocker - no motivation and investment on real product
Power struggle among executives - employees become sacrifice

    Advice to Management

Remove or replace the management (especially in San Francisco) before they ruin the company even further
Refresh your vision, identify your key strength, and focus on real things that generate value
Have ears to listen, and not fooled by your own judgement or a few voices

    Pros

Good people who respect each other. Work cadence is reasonable and there is flexibility around hours. Enteprise customers with large deployments and stable revenues.

    Cons

Not enough free lunches or social activities in the office. This would help all employees better connect and work together.

    Advice to Management

More frequent team mixers and town hall discussions.
