    Pros

Base pay for sales positions on the Business side of the house is pretty decent. Pay will be one of the few motivators.

    Cons

Low morale caused by office politics. Culture drastically changed over recent years. Many respected leaders left the area & the company even. Company is not competitive in NOVA market.

    Advice to Management

Value & promote longtime, performing employees. Listen to the word of the employees as they are in constant contact with the community & existing/future clients.

    Pros

Great pay if you make your goals and get your commission. Great way to meet people and feel a sense of satisfaction while helping others.

    Cons

Commission structure changes often so can be difficult to make good money. Management cares more about the bottom line instead of their customers. Policy changes not always communicated well. Recent consolidations led to a lot of loyal and dedicated employees being let go.

    Advice to Management

The bottom line is not everything! Keep your employees happy and they will keep your customers happy and keep your profits flowing.

    Pros

Cox is a progressive and culturally defined company whose leadership teams are empowered to do what's best for its customers and the company. Personal Health, Family, and Company is the company imperative.

From the corporate perspective Cox transitioned from a public to private company back in the early 2000's. Jim Robbins was second to none in his leadership and business acumen. Pat Esser replaced Mr. Robbins and subsequently has continued to lead by example and deliver the expected results

    Cons

Working with many different people bring many different personalities to the forefront when leading them. Taking the necessary time to develop and grow the staff to encourage the buy-in to the vision, mission, and goals of the company can take its toll. This is by means NO SLAP to Cox. It's LIFE and every company that has challenge when more than three people working creates the potential for cultural improvement leadership.

    Advice to Management

Speaking from personal experience and having served two tours with Cox, my best advice to leadership is to encourage everybody "Check" their egos in at the door.
