I worked at Cpsi for more than 5 years

      Pros

-You can meet a lot of really smart and talented people. -You can get introduced to a variety of CPSI applications. -You can travel and possibly see things you wouldn't normally see otherwise.

      Cons

-All those smart and talented people are wasting all their potential at CPSI because usually, actually more than likely, they get overlooked. If they don't get overlooked, they get overused and under rewarded. -While learning a lot of CPSI applications helps you at CPSI, it does not help you for anything else outside of CPSI. It makes the job a waste of time if you don't plan on staying until you retire. And I guarantee...

      I worked at Cpsi full-time

      Pros

      Per diem pay for travel.

      Cons

inflexible. Their management team was very much their way or the highway and do not care about work life balance. They are beyond controlling and believe in micromanaging. Their interface is ancient yet they believe it is the best thing. Upper management has been there forever and therefore no fresh ideas can get in and let them know just how awful it is there. When i left they were extremely unprofessional in handling...

      Advice to Management

Seriously considering bringing in a top executive from outside the organization. The company has a serious case of decision making by folks who have no context outside the organization itself. This is a HUGE hinderance on the community of the organization. Employees are very unhappy and they seem not to care.

I worked at Cpsi full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

Very Good Departmental Organization Lot's of long term employees from middle management up Family Friendly Decent Profit Sharing and other benefits

      Cons

Local company with salaries based on local cost of living Have been feeling the Health Insurance hurt and costs have been rising with decreasing benefits Not all employees are treated equally Could be described as "old school" and slow to change with technology and products

      Advice to Management

Consider hiring remote and increasing salaries in accordance with experience. Listen to your existing employees to reduce turnover.

I have been working at Cpsi full-time

      Pros

Ever changing clinical applications provides opportunity to expand your knowledge base. Company has been going thru some growing pains, expanding demographics and client base. Company provides on-site clinic which is a huge plus. Meds are provided at the clinic with a $5 deduct from payroll. Company offers great 401K with 6% company matching. Cafeteria plan health benefits including vision and dental. Work environment...

      Cons

When I was traveling it was non-stop. 3-4 weeks out with one day at home for 3+ years. They tell you this before they hire you that travel is extensive and it is. Working with other departments isn't always as positive as it should be. Company is trying to evolve and enforce brand values of: Collaboration, Agility, Empathy, Proactive. I feel my department as a whole represents these values but I cant say that about...
