    Pros

401k is good and the ETO (earned time off) benefits are good.

    Cons

Low Pay, Insurance is high and not a lot of coverage

    Advice to Management

Remember the employees not just the stock owners and Executives paychecks.

I have been working at Cpsi full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Benefits are good and work flexibility.

    Cons

IT support and technologies are killing the productivity of this company. Folks pull your heads out of the 1990's toolset and approach to IT support. It should not take months to resolve any computer problem. All computer issues should be measured in minutes not months.

    Advice to Management

-IT support is just that...a "support" organization. The approach to solving problems should be from the position as how to "support" the organization. -Processes and procedures should be evaluated regularly for effectiveness and impact measurements to the organization. -The current approach to IT support and security is preventing your technologists from reaching peek productivity, and is an obstacle to daily...

Fun/laid back environment. Managers that really do care. Good benefits. Good raises.

    Cons

Forcing travel reps to work call queues while in-house.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.

"Good job with below average pay"

I have been working at Cpsi full-time

    Pros

Benefits are good and so is the training for the field which is typically used to launch careers elsewhere (reflected in the high turn over) however if you stay you can have an average income with good benefits which is better than no income and no benfits. Frequent flyer miles are outstanding - become a diamond flier member in a matter of months.

    Cons

Pay is low. You won't get rich. Divisions are run as islands unto themselves. The average employee 'stay' time is roughly 3 - 4 years then they are off to greener pastures to make more than double the salary.

    Advice to Management

For a large company it is run with a mom and pop shop mentality. Divisions are too segmented for the greater company good. Upper management could use a a seminar on how to better treat employees, specially since employees are poorly paid and at best are paid half the National average for the same work at other companies but this will never change.

I have been working at Cpsi full-time

    Pros

Good benefits at low cost with good health care options including gym membership discount, weight watchers, on-site clinic. Lenient with personal schedules.

    Cons

Legacy software will drive you insane. Their application of Java and other current software tools are so limited you are almost lying by putting them on your resume. I would recommend anyone to continue to educate themselves with industrial standards instead of thinking that you can take the "CP way" anywhere else. You would be in big trouble. Since there isn't much to take from the job you will either have to leave as...

I have been working at Cpsi

    Pros

Great for a green technician who is single, likes to travel, and needs experience in the field. Benefits are good. Vacation time is earned and available on a monthly basis.

    Cons

You maybe expected to drop everything and travel across the USA on a moments notice. The pay rate is well below the norm for expecting this out of an employee. Lots of bureaucracy and an out dated and confusing documentation system.

    Advice to Management

Offer a better starting pay rate to experienced technicians. Streamline and make in-house documentation software more user friendly. Offer tuition reimbursement.
