    Pros

A lot of employees there are awesome, talented people and are very friendly and willing to teach you whatever it is you’d like to learn.

    Cons

-Poor management -Low pay -Will “promote” workers without pay raise or title change -Poor benefits -Employees in Minneapolis, MN treated differently than employees in Mobile, AL -Lack of competent IT/DB resources -Some employees skirt by without having to do much work at all -No one gets fired/disciplined if they aren’t performing well -Upper management makes all the money and...

    Advice to Management

Learn the new technologies and push to incorporate them into your business. Employees get lazy because they are unmotivated and paid poorly. Put more money into your Human Resources and you will see the long-term benefits!

I worked at Cpsi full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Didn't have to work at McDonalds & have very affordable benefits

    Cons

No competitive pay, when you ask about raises/increase they tell you that you are lucky to have a job. Depending on your blood relation or friendship to upper management/directors dictates your treatment and how well you will do in the company.

I worked at Cpsi full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Insurance benefits only have $1000 deductible for family (which is good for 2017) and only cost $140 per month.

    Cons

They have tried to appear to be more current with their software, but rarely have any of their customers been happy with the product after I have left. The rebranding a couple of years ago from CPSI to Evident was apparently because the company suffered from a poor reputation where the area of being willing to update their software (get rid of DOS, etc) was concerned. They are still using outdated software from the...

    Advice to Management

Do a national search to hire qualified programmers to design the software, and stop putting design change work requests on the back burner and telling your customers that other sites aren't requesting the same things or acting like it's the first time you've heard a request for a common software change. There are too many lies behind the scenes to the customers.

I worked at Cpsi for more than 5 years

    Pros

-Great Benefits -Software Experience -A myriad of talented, hardworking individuals are employed there

    Cons

-Huge Division Between Upper Management and Lower, to the detriment of all employees below the title of VP. Limited, Narrow communication and lack of understanding of what it takes for each department to produce successfully. -Employees are seen as bodies now, instead of human beings. High producing, talented employees are over-worked, underpaid, and under-appreciated while...

    Advice to Management

Don't forget that your employees are human beings. While this may be 'their job', they are not machines and cannot be expected to operate as such. Find out what your employees do on a day to day basis and learn why or why not they are an integral part of what makes or breaks the company as a whole. Keep yourself educated as much as possible. Collaborate with other departments whole-heartedly, freely giving knowledge...

    Pros

    Per diem pay for travel.

    Cons

inflexible. Their management team was very much their way or the highway and do not care about work life balance. They are beyond controlling and believe in micromanaging. Their interface is ancient yet they believe it is the best thing. Upper management has been there forever and therefore no fresh ideas can get in and let them know just how awful it is there. Advice to Management

Seriously considering bringing in a top executive from outside the organization. The company has a serious case of decision making by folks who have no context outside the organization itself. This is a HUGE hinderance on the community of the organization. Employees are very unhappy and they seem not to care.

I have been working at Cpsi

    Pros

CPSI has a great culture and values. They are very understanding of your life outside of work. They also have great benefits and most people are able to move up in their career at CPSI. The working environment is very positive.

    Cons

The cons of CPSI are that the salary starts off extremely low. Also, sometimes things are so busy, that it is hard to get outside help from upper management. However, if you are patient, they will help eventually.

    Pros

Pay begins low... But can progress quickly If you like to travel... You will travel frequently Great medical coverage at main office Wonderful coworkers

    Cons

Middle management has a lot of unnecessary power If you hate to travel... You will travel frequently If you know how to manage high school clicks... You will do well Only once ever met "upper management"... Don't think they know what is going on in everyday work

    Advice to Management

Do a "undercover boss"... You will be amazed and shocked ... At the hard working ppl you have and the constant problems they encounter daily

    Pros

Good medical coverage. That's about it.

    Cons

Where to begin.....This company is a snake pit of the vilest caliber. The problems with this company all stem from management who treat employees as production assets rather than people. Actual leadership is scare, as this is a company run more by software than actual people. Those who are promoted to middle management position are placed there because they are ruthless enough to "Do what needs to be done" - actual leadership...

When you're getting your incompetent social media lady to plant these fake good reviews, she really should be instructed on how to make them more authentic. You know, the usual way you instruct people, by getting in their faces and shouting profanities at them. Right, "J"?

    Pros

Decent Medical and Dental benefits. There are a few truly good employees there; they are few and far between, however. Travel, if that's what you like.

    Cons

Through and through, this company is rotten to the core. Pay is 20 - 30K/Annually less than competitors pay for comparable positions. This would be tolerable if the corporate culture was not one of lying, backstabbing, and a "do whatever it takes, even if that means unethical behavior" attitude. Middle management (particularly in Financial Software) is generally inept at management (with a few notable exceptions),...

    Advice to Management

Please go through some sort of professional management training (not just a week long seminar). Listen to employees, even if they disagree with you. Stop the gossip, and stop using gossip to drive your decisions. Get rid of the "us vs. them" mentality in dealing with your employees; they are adults who are on the same team as you, so treat them as such (you would be surprised what productive, solid employees they will...
