    I worked at Crabtree & Evelyn part-time

    Pros

I loved my manager, although that changes store to store so you can't count on having great coworkers. It's a very clean and professional environment where you feel comfortable and safe. The hours were very flexible; you could work almost as much or as little as you wanted. You also get a pretty decent employee discount, which is always a plus.

    Cons

They won't hire you as full-time, which is why I labeled it as a "side job." Also, the company is always out of stock of a lot of items, which makes it frustrating to tell people 25 times a day that the product they're looking for is out of stock. There's also a lot of apparent waste in the way they run their stores. If they got new people on the top of the ladder that cared about cutting cost and boosting profit, the company would do a lot better.

I worked at Crabtree & Evelyn full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Crabtree & Evelyn is a global brand with lots of heritage and many good people working within the group. The products are high quality and have a lot of loyal followers.

    Cons

Too many changes at the leadership and ownerships levels. There isn't long term strategies of the brand and very little investment in brand building.

    Advice to Management

Please keep the employees that are loyal to the brand and have a lot of experience with the brand and beware of those corporate players.

    Pros

Benefits were okay, products were good, customers were nice

    Cons

    Advice to Management

Recognize that different markets have different clientele, therefore certain products pushed to the forefront may fail in some parts of the country, while sales go through the roof in other parts.

    Pros

Discount on products, time off when needed, pretty place to work and play with beauty products all day

    Cons

Low pay for service expected from employees, wages don't match local cost of living, mistakes regularly filter down from home office leaving the employees in the stores to clean up the mess or fix mistakes, poor planning from higher-ups

    Advice to Management

The consistent typos, incorrect grammar and spelling in company memos and on signage is embarrasing
