I worked at Crane Aerospace & Electronics full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Good people to work with.

    Cons

They stopped caring about their employee's and overworked them causing a lot of Stress and a negative environment - management and employee turn over was getting out of control. I worked there many years and at the end no longer wanted to go...they also keep taking employee perks away instead of increasing them or even maintaining them!

    Advice to Management

Quit overworking all your employee's and hire help!

I worked at Crane Aerospace & Electronics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have very few positive things to say about working at Crane.

    Cons

Crane as a corporation, and similarly the direct engineering management, have little to no interest in developing their products or their employees. After years of working at Crane I gained very few skills and was left with almost no transferable knowledge. From what I was a part of and what I saw others working on it was clear to me that Crane did not want to develop new products or invest in forward thinking technologies. It seemed to me that management was more interested in squeezing every last penny out of the exiting products by re-packaging them and selling them off as new designs.

Having taken this position as my first full-time position after school I deeply regret it. I am again, years later, looking at entry level positions simply because Crane allowed no growth for me. I suggest avoiding this company unless you are happy to work for a company that will happily stifle your growth as a way to pigeon hole your career such that when they decided to lay you off you will be stuck looking for work until they come back around to you months later and offer you the exact same position.

Which you might just end up taking out of desperation.

I have seen this happen to several people and refuse to be one of them.

    Advice to Management

Try thinking further ahead than the end of the month.
