    Pros

    Some good people- a lot of people overlooked

    Cons

    No fairness in posting jobs- upper management/ GM 's are a joke - they talk a big game but do not care about their workers.

    Advice to Management

    Look at your current talent -ALL of them. Stop being so pretentious - start being human and care about those you work with.

    I worked at Crane Composites as an intern

    Pros

    Got lots of experience. Very hands on. I got to use skills I was learning in school rather than just scanning documents. HR was a pleasure to work with and was very organized compared to the company I am with now. They have a great new employee on-boarding process, and many of these standards I have suggested to my current employer to improve their process. Hours were regular 8-5 unless I wanted to observe the night shift.

    Cons

    One of the other interns just scanned documents. When my second year of internship was finished, I thought the company was going to offer me a full time position. Instead, they waited 6 months after I left to offer me a third summer of internship. I believed I was well overqualified for that position at that time. I made slightly less than peers with a similiar resume.

    Advice to Management

    They probably already know this since I decided to not intern for a third straight summer, but they should have been better organized in offering me a full time position. HR seemed like they forgot I was graduating that year, and that I was looking for full time positions after graduation. I feel that if I took the third internship, I likely would have gotten a full time offer within a month; however, that was not a risk I was willing to take. If I was offered the position at the conclusion of my second internship, I likely would have stayed with the company.

    Isolated product market with few like competitors

    Cons

    Overlapping metrics defined by president, designed to create tension within top-heavy management team results in conflict, division and confusion in the company

    Pros

    Time off at Christmas - Some of the staff very nice to work with

    Cons

    Too much of an us vs them attitude amoung departments, no room for growth unless you meet certain stipulations and are well liked in the company-unfairness in departments - being talked at instead of with - pay is not where it should be and you cannot make more

    Advice to Management

    Give people a fair shot - don't continue to be dishonest with them and dance around the issues/subjects

    departments stopped working as one goal since departmental manager bonus took over, now each department out for themselves,

    Advice to Management

    go back to a people caring company any quite with the big departmental manager big bonus. employees bonuses very small so the managers can get them. the employees are the ones doing the work

    Pros

    Decent benefits and good location

    Cons

    Communication from upper management to employee needs improvement. Policies for non exempt workers are completely outrageous and set them up to fail. The bottom line is more important that the employee (who gets the bottom line where it is)

    Advice to Management

    Start really working with the pool of talent you have, don't look at age as a reason to make someone retire. Show every employee their worth and be honest about it. You seem to skirt truth a lot.

    Pros

    Great benefit options
    Get a week+ off at Christmas every year
    Starting just out of college, the salary was good and have gotten raises almost every year.
    Company is strong financially, rarely has layoffs for non-production personnel

    Cons

    Some personnel can be unprofessional and difficult to deal with
    Company is concerned 100% with bottom line, not the employees
    Penalized for using sick time, very strict schedule policies
    Seems to be favoritism sometimes
