I worked at Crate and Barrel part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Working environment was very friendly, product is beautiful and it is a great learning experience. Very flexible with scheduling and time off.

    Cons

Sometimes there aren't many customers during certain times of the year so they give fewer hours.

    Advice to Management

I hope you continue to train employees on product information and selling tips. Being confident with the product is important.

    Pros

Beautiful store great light. Good location.

    Cons

To be promoted must be part of the "in crowd". The lower management do not even follow the established rules and protocol. They do what they feel is fair even though it may be against the rules They do not have good management skills nor do they educate themselves in management styles.

    Advice to Management

Hire people who have management training Hire from out side the store or promote people who are qualified from within not your friends.
