I have been working at Credit One Bank full-time

    Pros

New building. Co-workers who are great people. Decent cafeteria if you like being confined at work for that extra hour.

    Cons

A CIO that should be making sandwiches, not software. Senior management needs to be flushed and rebooted, poor communication, people skills, and just way too many yes-men. Warning: We all have been "encouraged" to write a glowing review and we're also letting our managers know which review was ours (brownie points). This goes against everything about what an anonymous job review site should be and Glassdoor needs to seriously inquire about this type of behavior as we're not getting a true portrayal of this place. Everyone here is "happy to have a job" but 99.9999% of us dread that feeling on Sunday evenings when we know that C1B awaits us Monday morning.

I have been working at Credit One Bank full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

They have a brand new building to work in with plenty of covered parking. It is a fast growing company, which provides opportunities for advancement for those who work hard. The Risk Department has lots of great people who want to make a difference. The Bank keeps focusing more and more on their customers.

    Cons

It is a Fast growing company, so there is a lot to do. Like anywhere, sometimes politics gets in the way of progress.

I have been working at Credit One Bank full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Beautiful new building some great people and management free lunches 401k lots of nice perks. I have been with the company for quite a long time and I love seeing how we are growing I am proud to work here.

    Cons

Sometimes the wrong people are put in positions they are clearly not meant to be in. Sometimes being good at your job is not a good thing because you carry the load for less than willing peers.

I worked at Credit One Bank full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I made some great friends. Despite most people there being experts at backstabbing, there is an opportunity to meet some great people. I used to think the CEO was a fine guy, handing out candy and holiday bonuses, personally, however, the more I got to know about the company, the more I was able to realize everything comes from the top.

    Cons

The Cafe is overpriced. Not that it matters all that much, but I only say this now, because I work for a company that also has a cafe in the facility that offers a lot better food, and better pricing. Oh, but I'm sure HR will comment under that you do get 2 free lunches a month, if they even still do that! When I was first started working at this company, I was honestly hopeful. I was coming from a very unhealthy corporate environment and was excited to be working with a fresh company on the rise. I worked with a great team, but the more and more involved I became, the more and more depressed I was about actually going to work. My supervisor always had excuses as to why things weren't always fair, my trainer / team lead had been working there for years, being passed over for other job opportunities for nothing more than likes and dislikes. All of the "Good Guys" I say this because there are actual "Bad Guys" at this place, were forced to leave because they could not stand the hypocrisy and incompetence. Not to mention the blatant nepotism. This place had become unhealthy. But, despite everything, I stuck around even when being offered other opportunities, because I remained hopeful. I even met with my upper management about staying, leaving the conversation with the idea things would get better. Only to be sold out by my own Supervisor multiple times because I spoke out about the unfairness and the stress I was under. So much for backing your employees and teams. Anyone and everyone will sell each other down the river if it means less time in the fire for them. This place became toxic to me, and reading other reviews, the same for quite a few others as well.
