I have been working at Credit Suisse as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

Good work culture with a friendly environment with most teams being able to deliver while maintaining a healthy attitude aiding each other. Credit Suisse also provides many talks and opportunities for continued professional development.

    Cons

    - Training is lacking
    - Legacy software is commonplace
    - Communication is lacking between economic regions with some teams being led by senior management entirely in a different region.
    - Recent restructuring has resulted in many contractors and permanent employees being let go. Bleeding valuable knowledge and skills.
    - Management training is extremely poor.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on the people that are currently employed and provide adequate training to employees and particularly management. Often it seems people are let go simply because a particular department isn't doing well instead of moving people internally.
