    Pros

    Good work/ life balance, easy commute, beautiful location - across from Madison Square Park, friendly people.

    Cons

    Lay offs pending. I work on the trading floor and it can be a little hectic and loud at times.

    Advice to Management

    If a person is good enough to hire as a contract employee, has a proven, successful, track record, they should be hired as a permanent employee.

    * Environment is more relaxed than other bulge brackets
    * A fair amount of responsibility but largely depends on senior analyst
    * Training
    * Most teams have two associates, unlike smaller firms where many teams have one associates

    Cons

    * Some senior analysts work their associates too hard
    * Pay is lower than top tier bulge brackets such as Goldman, Morgan

    Advice to Management

    * Give associates more autonomy and responsibility
    * Create a culture that isn't so stuffy

    Pros

    Great location, solid benefits, strong salary raises in front office, does not have a stuffy attitude. Internally mobility is a great idea, just may be harder than it appears

    Cons

    Declining culture, layoffs seems never ending, there are 0 "perks" like free lunch (unless paid for out of someone's own pocket), many good employees are leaving for other firms.

    Advice to Management

    Communicate more!! Also, please fix the elevators
