I have been working at Crestwood Medical Center full-time

    Pros

The hospital has a friendly atmosphere for the most part

    Cons

pay is low, we were promised a tier level of pay 2 years ago that would have given a $1 raise to some employees but that has yet to happen. I think that there are a lot of promises made and not kept. There also seems to be A LOT!!!!!! of favoritism.

    Advice to Management

    Keep you word!

I worked at Crestwood Medical Center full-time

    Pros

The patients and their families are the brightest aspect of working here. Coworkers can be wonderful here and there, but are often over worked and under appreciated.

    Cons

Very little benefit to employment here. You will be given more and more work without fair and/or just compensation. A company who settles with how things are.

    Advice to Management

Very much so all about the higher ups. You should invest more time and effort into the little employees you build your foundation upon.

    Pros

Location, young crew, old manager was awesome

    Cons

Benefits, hours, work load is awful, management is in turmoil

    Advice to Management

Get it together. You are losing great nurses because you can't stop the bullying in the ER

I have been working at Crestwood Medical Center full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Coworker's working as a team
    Manager(current) is caring
Surgeons willing to teach proper care if asked

    Cons

Low pay, staffing issues, manager(former) not standing behind staff, extra (double) charting requirements, change is pay for called in

    Advice to Management

Value staff in BOTH shifts, proper raises for good staff, proper staffing for acuity, listen to your staff or follow staff for a day on the units and not just in your office

    Cons

CNAs and Nurses are Overworked, very long hours, charting & documentation time-consuming, understaffed, unrealistic pace of new admits and discharges without adequate staff to complete tasks, poor communication amongst all staff.

    Advice to Management

Staff CNAs, hire a discharge nurse to complete entire process.

Owned by a corporation. Too focused on the dollar. Senior Management make bad decisions and don't care about front line staff.

Come to the departments more often to get to know people.

I worked at Crestwood Medical Center full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

90% co-workers got your back with staying on task
90% of the patients and family are wonderful

    Cons

To many chiefs, Unfairness, disrespectful, just don't care, about the money upper management makes

    Advice to Management

Listen carefully to the ones that matter. Resolving an issue is not letting someone go, its how to fix it. You can always hire cheaper, but remember cheaper sometimes isn't better, you get what you pay for.
