I worked at Cricut part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Paid well for a part-time student with tuition reimbursement. Good on-call skills to build from. Very friendly and helpful management!

    Cons

Customer support is always a pain. You're mainly dealing with older women who are either happy or really upset. Some days are roller coasters. It can be incredibly busy to the point where you really don't get a breather. Even though management is very helpful and nice, the product(s) are very in-depth and there's an expectation to know ALL the products well (which isn't bad of them but it's tough if you're part-time).

    Advice to Management

Continue to be nice, helpful, and understanding of team members!

I worked at Cricut full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Never cuts your hours and they provide the necessary technology to do the work (dual monitors and lots of desk space)

    Cons

Culture is click-ey and there is a lot of drama

    Advice to Management

Help people calm down and relax by providing better benefits and less stress. The hardest part about that work is the fact that you are constantly under scrutiny of the customer, the peers next to you, and the management.

I worked at Cricut full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

While I was at Provo Craft, my creative and administrative talents were honed to a higher degree. A lot of employees were fun to work with, and I learned a lot from the current creative team, some of which were extremely talented and knowledgeable.

    Cons

While a lot of the employees were friendly, the other half were downright clickish and just mean. Their was a superiority complex among the creative leads at the time which was humorous to me, since none of them had graduated from college - they were basically uneducated people, who didn't care who they trampled on to climb up the ladder. Hold on, isn't that high school all over again? You don't need an education to...

    Advice to Management

Please remember that your employees are your greatest asset. A company is built upon the sweat and work of your labor force, not by entitlement.

    I worked at Cricut

    Pros

Working in the craft industry is fun and exciting. Provo Craft has money to research and develop products. The experience working and sourcing products in China can't be beat. The company is dedicated to developing new products. Provo Craft has great sales channels and great retail partners.

    Cons

The Senior Management team is incredibly out of touch with the employees. They don't respect, trust or empower employees. The turnover rate is extremely high. The pressure and stress is very high. The Senior management has a closed door policy. They are difficult to work with. They are more concerned about placing blame than finding solutions.

    Advice to Management

Trust the employees. Empower employees to make decisions.
