Turn Around Unless You Thrive On Toxicity

      Pros

Great people that are smart and fun to be around. Creative office vibe.

      Cons

Crazy turnover. Frequent layoffs. Bring your own office furniture in. Unethical leadership, that throws you under the bus the minute you walk out of the room. Failing agency with very few clients left, holding onto their golden years. Leadership was downright nasty, especially the CFO Dusty that thrived on people being afraid of her. HR was a joke, and turned the other cheek to inappropriate behavior. Long hours and zero work-life balance. Great perks, but you could never take advantage of them. Straight-up toxic, run.

Good for the resumé. Bad for the soul.

      Pros

Having Crispin Porter Bogusky on your resumé will open more doors and show people within the industry you can handle a top tier, fast-paced agency. Just don't stay longer than 1 year. They also have good snacks.

      Cons

No work life balance. Toxic culture. You are made to feel guilty if you leave before 8pm. Feedback is treated like a bullying session. Dignity is a myth within those warehouse walls. They claim to have unlimited PTO, but good luck getting even one day off approved. The toxicity drips out of every meeting.

      Avoid CP+B at all costs!

Aug 10, 2019 - Anonymous Employee in Boulder, CO

      Pros

Unlimited days off, multiple exit doors, Gym on site and free dinner if you work late.

      Cons

There is no culture at CP+B. Employees smoke weed and drink at work daily just to deal with how bad it is. Elitist attitude from upper management, CFO and CEO. Terrible business decisions are continually made by department heads but if it leads to more billable hours Dusty and Eric look the other way. HR is the biggest joke in the building! Workers hide all around the building to avoid their bosses and peers. There is no work life balance period. Be willing to work late on weeknights and weekends. The CD's and ECD's all have their favorite creatives which leads to only a few people doing the work and the remaining people trying to appear busy. CP+B is a sweat shop of under valued and underpaid employees. CP+B likes to throw around, "good enough sucks" or "Be Golden". Well i think the company leaders drank the cool-aid because all the work coming out of the creative department is mediocre at best. The turn over of employees in the building is out of control. The funniest thing is Alex Bogusky gets paid millions to come back to save the business. News flash not even Alex with all his fancy accolades can save this sinking ship. The worst part of it all is CP+B cannot win a new client to save their life. Pitch after pitch they lose and lose again. CP+B's way to save money in times of need is to implement mass layoffs to make the company appear better then it is. People say this place is a resume builder but i beg to differ. Avoid CP+B and you will be a happier person I promise!

      Pros

Great team atmosphere, great benefits, strong & motivated creative teams. In my experience lower upper management really are inspiring and dedicated to helping the younger creatives grow and develop their skills. In general the people are what kept me at this agency for so long.

      Cons

Upper Management, Promotion Freeze, Raise Freeze. Zero work-life balance. What was once great culture, is no where to be found.
