I have been working at Crittenton Hospital part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Management is good, pay is decent and the workload is good. They have a lot of changes coming in since the merge with accession so they're expanding a lot which is good for the hospital

    Cons

They're changing a lot which means people/ offices are getting moved around a lot as well. They're low on staff almost every night due to budget issues as well

I worked at Crittenton Hospital part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The Private Duty management and office staff here is incredible.

    Cons

Poor compensation. Hopefully the Assension buy out has or will send some relief to to this dedicated group of staff.

    Advice to Management

New higher level Assensions management would do well to allocate more to this division in order to retain excellent field staff. I loved my work here and the integrity of this organization but inconsistent hours require more compensation. The field staff won't have the same luxury of elder care in their old age after a life of service that must be supplemented by government welfare programs.

    Pros

The people that have stuck it out through all of the cuts are top notch and I love working with them.

    Cons

Staffing on the med/surg floors is very, very thin.

    Advice to Management

    Hire more nurses!!

I worked at Crittenton Hospital part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits for part-time employees. There was constant training and lots of room for advancement. I would recommend this organization to others.

    Cons

Be sure to put in a full 2 weeks notice if you have to leave. My supervisor was extremely upset and sent a mass email to entire department about why I was leaving (which was supposed to be between her and it completely humiliated me. Everyone knew my personal business. Due to the embarrassment, I left the company sooner than planned.

    Advice to Management

Provide training to Supervisors about employee confidentiality. There should be more employee diversity. I was the only African American in the entire location.

I worked at Crittenton Hospital part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pros are that the company does value it's employees, their health, and their well-being. They offer regular training to keep their staff up-to-date on the latest practices, etc. One of my favorite things was the ability to participate in a unit leadership council. This allowed me to contribute professionally in a capacity beyond my day-to-day duties.

    Cons

The major con was the lack of full-time positions available. While I was usually able to work about 30 hours per week, my hours were irregular, and most importantly, I had no benefits. Had these even seemed remotely possible in the near future, I would've stayed longer. But, given that I couldn't truly count on a stable paycheck, and given that I had no benefits, I looked elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

Make full time positions more readily available, rather than relying on a fleet of contingents.

I have been working at Crittenton Hospital full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Neighborhood focus, compassionate care providers, great team work among grass roots care providers

    Cons

Lynn Ofgren replaced by Roy Powell in 2013. Mr. Powell is a relentless hatchet man who is arbitrarily cutting costs and staffing. Patient care is becoming substandard due to lack of staffing.

    Advice to Management

Set goals for what you want Crittenton to be in the future. Replace Mr. Powell with a CEO who can work with your tem to get you there. Simply reducing care provider staffing only alienates your patients and many find care elsewhere.
