I have been working at Cross Country Healthcare full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Good time off, support from corporate

    Cons

    No healthcare reimbursement or support.

    Advice to Management

Would love to have health care initiatives for the branch. There is a gym or something similar at corporate offices, but that is not something we have access to when we are working in a different state. Would love to have a discount applied towards a gym membership.

    Pros

You can make a lot of money if you are lucky enough to get a good territory. If you are good at taking initiative and can train yourself you can make decent money.

    Cons

ZERO SUPPORT- you better be able to train yourself. Management knows NOTHING. For years everyone just ran their desk however they wanted. Absolutely zero synergy.

    Advice to Management

Learn what your employees do. Be able to step in and cover if needed. Stop just acting like you know what's going on.

I have been working at Cross Country Healthcare full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

Cross Country is growing and going through a lot of changes in the right direction. Glad & Proud to be part of CCH

    Cons

Seems like everyone I speak to are overworked and constantly working late. Changes in staff and processes occur within departments that are not communicated to field staff. Internal communication could be improved to departments or locations that will be affected by changes in staff and processes.

    Advice to Management

We need to look internally at current employees to groom and create job opportunities to move them to next level. Need to support and acknowledge their strengths to support our goals and objectives as a company

I have been working at Cross Country Healthcare

    Pros

The opportunity to work at one of the largest companies in the growing and dynamic world of healthcare staffing.

    Cons

This once esteemed organization has since lost its identity in recent years. A tremendous disconnect exists between leadership and the rest of the business, resulting in a state of chaos, failed initiatives, and finger-pointing with selective accountability. Attempts have been made to stimulate the company culture, however they fall short due to a lack of authenticity and the detachment of leadership. Morale is deteriorating...

    Advice to Management

Take a close look at the individuals you have entrusted with leadership responsibilities. Do their interactions with people from all walks of the organization truly embody the characteristics of what you want your organization to represent? Do they inspire their teams and champion the company’s mission, vision and values? Have they earned the respect of their teams and peer groups? Provide employees among all levels of...

    Cons

Call it a pro or a con this company working with intense growth and goes full blast we work hard! Need to have an open mind to changes and solution based attitude to make the best of the situations.

I have been working at Cross Country Healthcare

    Pros

Cross Country Healthcare has undergone a huge transformation in the last 2 years. Through acquisitions and new leadership, the company has regained its competitive edge that it enjoyed prior to the market crashing in 2009. Frankly, the company had been “running to stand still” with no clear direction as to where we were headed. A robust market, new CEO, 2 huge acquisitions and the re-appointment of a division president...

    Cons

The Boca office could use some updating. It’s funny because some of the Cross Country offices in other cities are beautiful, but the Boca office is like a newly built Wal-Mart…looks great on the outside, but the inside is a little plain, dated and uninspiring (but with plenty of value on the shelves).

    Advice to Management

We have a great momentum. Be sure to keep it alive and strong. Make sure you have the right people in the right seats.
