I worked at Cross Country Healthcare full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

I worked here for over 10 years, very good company to work for, financially stable, fun environment

    Cons

Difficult to move up the ladder, HQ is in FL. Many Directors/ Managers hold on to their jobs here, so no upward mobility.

I worked at Cross Country Healthcare full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

    - Health benefits, vacation, personal days, 401k - Pay every two weeks - Experience that one can gain in the healthcare staffing industry

    Cons

I worked there for about four years. That was plenty enough for me. How do we do business development and recruit nurses when ethics go out the window everywhere you look? I had to leave. I couldn’t bare the chaos and toxicity another day. Seeing myself and my coworkers being treated like circus animals or like greyhounds at the race track jumping through hoops for amusement. My husband was so happy when I started...

    Advice to Management

I really liked what the company stood for on paper. But that’s all it is. Just smoke and mirrors. Management only cares for four things only. Money, profitability, power, and their bonuses. It’s about being true leaders and not acting like dictators and treating employees like clowns performing for your laughs. Show your leadership through example. They really need to go into the trenches and ask employees their...

I worked at Cross Country Healthcare full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

A great community of people working to get caregivers to patients. There are great team members in every department and everyone is friendly.

    Cons

Quarter-to-quarter mindset but that's to be expected from a publicly traded company.

    Advice to Management

    Innovate!

I worked at Cross Country Healthcare full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

It is a large company that is well known in the staffing industry.

    Cons

Management (at least the area I was in) did not care. They claimed to offer help and support but was never available to do so. Did not feel a sense of appreciation at all.

    Advice to Management

Show more appreciation to staff. The manager I had did not show appreciation at all. In fact at times it came across that she was annoyed with questions asked and when reaching out. She did not want to be bothered at all.

I worked at Cross Country Healthcare full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

First off I’m a CPA and an MBA. I worked at cross country healthcare for over a year. I loved it there, a lot was expected of us as accountants. We needed to think about processes and couldn’t be left to simply be robots and do what had always been done. Everyone that was working hard and could show that they were adding value was promoted. Personally I saw 10-15 people get promoted of all genders and races during my...

I have been working at Cross Country Healthcare full-time for more than a year

    Pros

If you are a white male narrow minded with lack of leadership, a big ego and poor ethics this is the company for you, otherwise stay away.

    Cons

Before I start this review please know this is not coming from a disgruntled employee, this is coming from an employee who really doesn’t want anyone to go through the experience all of the accountants at CCH go through once they get in. I wish I knew someone inside prior to accepting their offer so I could’ve run as far as possible from this place. Beware they will lie at the interview by selling you a company that...

    Advice to Management

My advice to management is to please quit, you have 0 respect from your staff and absolutely no one trust you. You have no capacity to be forward thinkers and your narrow minds are just a detriment to the rest of the employees who don’t have a voice, need their jobs and are just too afraid to say anything to you. If you are a shareholder and happen to bother to read this, if I were you I would start questioning the...
