I have been working at Cross Country Healthcare full-time for more than a year

    Pros

It's a great place to work if your with corporate. (Maybe) As long as people take you seriously you'll have a job. Favoritism is definitely in affect so if you are on someone's sweet side you'll have an garantee job no matter what you do.

    Cons

There's not enough training, you get there and it's all peaces and cream at first but then you notice that there isn't enough training and then they throw you in water and tell you not to sink. And then your in trouble for making mistakes even though your new. They hire new management that isn't respectful, the management blames everything on you even if it isn't your mistake. You don't get to ask any questions (your...

I worked at Cross Country Healthcare full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

You can make a lot of money if you are lucky enough to get a good territory. If you are good at taking initiative and can train yourself you can make decent money.

    Cons

ZERO SUPPORT- you better be able to train yourself. Management knows NOTHING. For years everyone just ran their desk however they wanted. Absolutely zero synergy.

    Advice to Management

Learn what your employees do. Be able to step in and cover if needed. Stop just acting like you know what's going on.

I worked at Cross Country Healthcare

    Pros

Not one good experience while working at Cross Country. Leaving was a pro! At some high executive level, there may be good intentions but every leader under the CEO needs reviewed as many are not of value nor have strong moral compasses.

    Cons

Poor leadership, bullying mentality, antiquated systems and processes, cheap in spending to benefit employees productivity , divided culture, horrible communication, lack of execution, unsophisticated in every way. Lots of drama, gossip, unprofessionalism. HR is a total joke and infiltrate negativity amongst departments.

    Advice to Management

Evaluate all leaders, work on improving culture that you so desperately claim to have - but I assure you, you don't.

I worked at Cross Country Healthcare full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Great amount of time off and good benefits if your salary can afford them.

    Cons

Provided a non-compete agreement after job acceptance which put restrictions on what you can do on your own when not working on their time. This non-compete should have been disclosed before hire so that a person can decide whether they would actually want this job. I was asked to log in to my lap top during a hurricane warning. I was actually expected to work and just not worry if I would have a roof over my head the...

    Advice to Management

As executive management you need to scrutinize what your ADR's are actually doing. You have had difficulty keeping a recruiter staff in the past due to unfairness by these ADR's. Some ADR's are ethical and some are not. I'm anazed that you had never gone to the source and had asked some of the recruiters what the issue actually was. I think as a solution, a member of the executive management team who does not work on...

-Great Base Pay -Seems like a good company -Good Training -Regular hours Monday through Friday -Enough freedom to work how I need to in order to get things done (this can vary depending on your boss from what I hear though) -The company keeps you up to date through quarterly financial meetings with leaders of the company. -You are helping people find awesome jobs all over the country and can help them make some...

-You earn PTO as you go. I know some companies do it like this, some give it all at the beginning of the year. It just sucks because you get two weeks of PTO but you have to wait a whole year until you have that 2 weeks. I did not realize this when hired, and could not get it to be where I'm given it at the beginning of the year. -Lots of pressure for sales. So hard to get the numbers after hired that they are looking...

    Advice to Management

It's not a bad job, I think you guys are doing what you can do for the job. Just remember, there is more than one way to make a sale. You guys hired a variety of people for a reason, because we all attract different people. So let us shine through our individual personalities. And put in a little more work/life balance. My boss is at work before and after me every day, I'm sure they want to see their family too! But...

Would love to have health care initiatives for the branch. There is a gym or something similar at corporate offices, but that is not something we have access to when we are working in a different state. Would love to have a discount applied towards a gym membership.
