I have been working at Cross Country Healthcare full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Work / Life balance, great learning opportunities and supportive coworkers. Diverse and inclusive environment with Non-discriminatory hiring practices. Nice place to work.

    Cons

Upper management prone to micromanaging staff, high turnover rate in accounting department, old management style and lack of upward mobility

    Advice to Management

Instead of focusing so much on acquisitions, Management could focus on the Company’s existing lines of business. Additionally, the Company should focus on improving the interface between its operations systems and its financial systems.

I have been working at Cross Country Healthcare full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

It is very easy to get hired

    Cons

There is a real problem with office politics with this company. Upper management seems to have the mentality that they are better than everyone else and can play by their own rules. It's no secret that this company values it's recruiting team over everyone else. You have recruiters and account managers that have opportunities to make commission on top of their yearly salary....

I have been working at Cross Country Healthcare full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Coworkers are nice. The celebrations for "wins" are cool.

    Cons

It's not all about becoming a billion dollar company. You have to invest in your employees so they can invest in your company. The pay should be better, PTO can be better. The stress of working this type of job can be overwhelming. Employees need to know the company cares about them. As much as culture and "wins" are important, so is money. Upper management gets the best of it,...

I have been working at Cross Country Healthcare

    Pros

The opportunity to work at one of the largest companies in the growing and dynamic world of healthcare staffing.

    Cons

This once esteemed organization has since lost its identity in recent years. A tremendous disconnect exists between leadership and the rest of the business, resulting in a state of chaos, failed initiatives, and finger-pointing with selective accountability. Attempts have been made to stimulate the company culture, however they fall short due to a lack of authenticity and the detachment of leadership. Morale is deteriorating...

    Advice to Management

Take a close look at the individuals you have entrusted with leadership responsibilities. Do their interactions with people from all walks of the organization truly embody the characteristics of what you want your organization to represent? Do they inspire their teams and champion the company’s mission, vision and values? Have they earned the respect of their teams and peer groups? Provide employees among all levels of...

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Cross Country Healthcare full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

The Healthcare providers are the best part of the job. Period.

    Cons

Upper Management has no clue. Pay is mediocre. Office culture is far from what upper management portrays. Employees are disgruntled. Pressure to hit quota by staffing any nurse that can breathe really contradicts their internal mantra.

    Advice to Management

Pay better. You'll get a more educated staff running the show. Listen to what your staff has to say. They're the ones in the trenches.
