I worked at Cross Country Home Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A paycheck and health benefits. The benefits are expensive, so the pro is just that you have them.

    Cons

All new leadership has made it go downhill over the last year. Culture and moral is the lowest it has been in quite some time. Management should be able to do things for themselves but make their people do everything for them.

    Advice to Management

Clean house. Starting at the top.

I worked at Cross Country Home Services (More than 8 years)

    Pros

It is a great place to work for someone getting started in the work environment.

    Cons

Things are consistently changing leaving the front line associates with very little direction. Leadership not knowledgeable in area of their work and often leave associates to figure it out on their own.

    Advice to Management

Have training conducted by those who are knowledgeable in the areas being trained.

    Advice to Management

Stop micromanaging, treat your employees well and they will treat your clients even better

I have been working at Cross Country Home Services full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits (401k, Medical) as well as access to buy appliances/HVAC/plumbing parts and equipment at their discounted pricing. The company tries to encourage and motivate employees and provides many different activities to that end (raffles, free lunch, etc.).

    Cons

Although they seem to be hiring a lot, most of it doesn't seem to be internal, so potentially less advancement opportunities. Because of the type of work (specifically in the callcenter) there is a fair amount of turnover and that means less experienced employees. Some of the management can be difficult to work which can cause some problems (or so I am told)

    Advice to Management

There is a brand new CEO and a lot of change, especially in the executive positions. Listen to what the employees on the front line are saying, the seasoned ones know what they are talking about and could provide many great ideas.

    Pros

    Will train the right people

    Cons

Ceilings on earnings are placed and there is a trend to reduce them year after year
    High level executives are resigning
This company is DOWNSIZING in an effort to liquidate

    Advice to Management

Be less misleading / more upfront

I have been working at Cross Country Home Services full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Company is primed for huge growth again, new partnerships with major companies means the next few years will be very rewarding
New leadership which is breathing energy into the management staff, clearing out some of the dead wood to get folks that are excited about whats to come

    Cons

Right now the company is in change mode which can be unsettling to some
Large IT project is an albatross to the organization, folks have lost faith that it will be delivered

    Advice to Management

The changes you've already made will mean all the difference in CCHS' future, keep upgrading talent where folks have settled or are not performing and we'll be great again!

    Pros

As a Software developer, the people, projects and development tools are great.

    Cons

More flexible schedule. It would be nice to have functional teams and allow it's members to switch teams often so then no one person knows how to accomplish a task.

    Advice to Management

Stay in touch with the big picture and communicate changes sooner than later.
