I worked at Cross MediaWorks (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some of the managers are great and knowledgeable. The industry is interesting and complex, never a dull moment.

    Cons

The company is not organized and upper management shares different views and don't seem to be in sync. Company morale is low and HR is not present. Lots of changes in upper management have hinder morale even more specially the constant changes in the HR department. Training and development used to be promoted and now is highly regulated/restricted. Barely any employee activities are done and more restrain policies implemented. There's no stability, salary compensation is very low and annual increases are 3% or less.

    Advice to Management

Invest in branding and increase employee morale to retain employees and attract better candidates. Offer better benefits and compensation.

    Pros

Cadent (formerly known as Cross MediaWorks) is positioned in the industry to do things other media companies can't do. With their acquisition of Cadent Technology West (formerly known as BlackArrow), they have placed themselves in not only the Media market, but the Technology market as well.

    Cons

There are no cons to speak of at this time. Below you see negative reviews of employees from a location that was shut down. They are obviously going to be upset. That division, unfortunately, was not in line with the vision of the company's future.

    Advice to Management

Keep growing and doing what you do!

    Pros

Great benefits. flexibility around life-work schedule. In the Scottsdale office there was a sense of understanding, as we came from more of a "family" feel, long term employees, because of that.

    Cons

In reading the other reviews of this company, I find all the reviews of the Scottsdale office to be accurate, i.e. backstabbing, no HR support, etc. . I find it laughable that Cross Mediaworks chooses to rebut the negatives reviews of the Scottsdale office, which they choose to close down in December 2015, but not the negative comments of the Florida office which is still operating. The Scottsdale office was never supported by HR on complaints, leaving one with the feeling "your on your own" HR is located in Philly..

I worked at Cross MediaWorks full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Made some great friends and partners and loved the product we were selling. New VP Sales gave direction and support to a division that was lacking this as well as adjusted salaries in a positive direction. New ideas were always listened to by VP

    Cons

The parent company never seemed to embrace this division and it showed. The new board decided to shut the office down yet didn't have the decency or professionalism to actually show their face in the office and deliver the news. Disappointing cowardly acts.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with respect and you will see results increase. We all understand business reasons for decisions made, no need to hide behind them

    Pros

freedom to bring in as much business as possible.

    Cons

a lot of backstabbing and playing favorites. I watched sales assistants with the help of managers bully and pick on employees they didn't like. Over the years, I saw it 4 times.

    Cross MediaWorks Response

    Nov 23, 2015 – Cross MediaWorks

As an employee, the positive comments are true. However, I would disagree on the “cons” as employees are treated respectfully and any complaints are handled quickly.

    Pros

Great place to advance if you are willing to work smart and hard. Management regularly give out bonuses for jobs well done. Its a performance based company-you perform-you get paid.

    Cons

Downside is as you grow in the company, the pay will get you to a place that is hard to matched elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

keep growing and hiring young talent while teaching them the ropes

    Pros

Fast-pace, energetic agency environment. Teams are dedicated, focused and challenge each other. Lots of work with lots of laughs. Advancement opportunities available to those that are driven and have a track record of performance.

    Cons

Must be able to multi-task with attention to detail. Quick turnarounds often needed.

    Advice to Management

Continue to cross train between departments and maintain effective communication between offices as we scale.
