    Approves of CEO

I have been working at CryoLife full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

Culture and morale has improved massively over the last few years.

    Cons

HR is a disaster. Was much better 5 years ago. Have had several pretty large scale layoffs in the last few years after change of CEO and acquisitions.

    I worked at CryoLife

    Pros

CryoLife is willing to hire those with no experience. The management tries its best to keep morale up despite corporate policies. When starting out there are a variety of tasks to learn and master.

    Cons

There is little to no job security. The microbiology department was constantly understaffed so you were typically doing more than one person's job. Middle management did their best but couldn't compensate for the toxic corporate culture and policies.

    Advice to Management

Make it worthwhile to keep the hardest working employees to increase morale and break the constant cycle of being short staffed, working hard to get people trained, burning people out so they quit, and being short staffed again.

I worked at CryoLife for more than a year

      Pros

Great place to get experience in a quality control laboratory. Everyone works very hard to complete the daily work plus do side projects. Great training program, with many different procedures to learn and perform. Can be a lot of variety in the day.

      Cons

Low pay. Long hours performing extremely repetitive tasks. Not enough desk and lab space to accommodate all of the work and staff. Low morale.

      Advice to Management

The lab has outgrown it's space. Update the technology to reduce the workload on the people. Better pay will increase morale.
