I have been working at CryoLife full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

CryoLife has been around for over 30 years. This is a "pro" because it shows that the company is intent on being stable and has projected plans on how to serve people by improving and possibly saving lives of patients needing specialized cardiac care. As a company, CryoLife strives to keep talented employees and encourages innovation all while maintaining a watchful eye on regulations and other compliance needs to...

    Cons

CryoLife has been around for over 30 years. This is also a "con" because companies can be entrenched in "this is how we have always done it." There is, at minimum, a three-pronged approach to update how CryoLife does business. First, all employees, including management, are involved in process improvement. Second, they are also ensuring that the company has effective and innovative products to offer doctors to help...

I have been working at CryoLife full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Facility, great people, nice CEO, Everybody plays a part in saving lives.

    Cons

Management, no future for improvement, no opportunity for advancement - the position you are will, more than likely, be the position you're stuck in for years. Too much paperwork and not enough utilization of technology; too old fashioned. All managers think about the worst-case scenario on everything. Stressful! Pay sucks compared to other companies; especially for what they expect you to do.

    Advice to Management

Quit and allow people the opportunity to change things.

I have been working at CryoLife

    Pros

Each person takes his job seriously and does it to the best of his ability. We are in the business of saving lives... whether you work with science, regulatory, marketing, IT, housekeeping... we each play an integral role in saving those lives and we know it. Each day we come to work makes a difference. Most of the people in my department are highly skilled, upbeat, and have been here between 10-15 years. I think...

    Cons

It took me over 2 weeks to walk around the company and not need a GPS.

    Advice to Management

Thank you for all that you do in the world to help positively affect peoples lives. Each day I look forward to coming to work and doing my part... and I feel noticed and appreciated.
