I worked at Crystal Run Healthcare (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent wage for the area. Good people to work with. Mid level management was decent. Good work/life balance

    Cons

Raises are small, if you get them at all. Pushing growth faster than the rest of the business can keep up. Very little communication from the top, unless they are forced to. Many of the good middle management is leaving, and being replaced with less capable mangers. Only doctors seem valuable to the organization. All others are expendable.

    Advice to Management

Slow down the growth, give the rest of the business time to catch up. Take time to see the value in all that help the business grow. Cut back on the amount of partners. Too many people want their piece of the pie.

I have been working at Crystal Run Healthcare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    At least it's a job

    Cons

Very long period of sitting, no breaks except for half hour lunch, poor management, getting screamed and cursed at by patients all day. Very repetitive and boring

I worked at Crystal Run Healthcare full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

High preforming, high drive healthcare organization. CRHC is way ahead of most organizations.
Everyone gives 150% to accomplish the mission vision and goals of this organization.
Imagine every Type A personality you have ever worked with and they are there.

    Cons

You are not valued as an employee and work life balance is non- exsistant. From the MD's to the front line staff. You leave exhausted and unable to enjoy your time away. If you are given a mobile device be ready to answer nights, weekends, holidays. Raises are yearly at 2-3% no incentive to over acheive unless you are an MD.

    Advice to Management

Value People ! You donot have a limitless employment pool and just becasue you are close to NYC your reputation follows you.

I have been working at Crystal Run Healthcare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Depends if you get a decent doctor or not to work for. Unless you are in a newer building using the lean method which turns the whole job into assembly line work.

    Cons

no respect for the supporting staff. tons of call outs that they can't control because of fmla approval. some folks can do nothing while others are overwhelmed and mgmt does nothing.

    Advice to Management

pay appropriately and you will have decent people . how do you think someone with abilities will continue to work for such low wages

I worked at Crystal Run Healthcare (More than a year)

    Pros

I met some great people while working at Crystal Run. Unfortunately, just like me many of them have ended up heading for greener pastures.

    Cons

There are only two classes of employees at Crystal Run Healthcare: Doctors and Not Doctors. If you're not a doctor it doesn't matter how much you've honed your craft, how hard you work or what you accomplish. At the end of the day they'll take the credit for your work and you'll receive exactly nothing for it but a paycheck that's far below the average.

    Advice to Management

It would help if you actually seemed to like and value your employees -- and make no mistake, in business the language of appreciation is money. When even the "employee appreciation" cookout is a single hot dog and the tiniest bottle of water known to mankind then that pretty much says all anybody needs to know about how much you value your people.

I have been working at Crystal Run Healthcare full-time

    Pros

Growing Company, paid lunch, multi physician specialty allows for experience in multiple specialties, Wonderful staff who work together as a team, great for a first time job in the field CRHC will teach you everything.

    Cons

Less than NYS average hourly rate. low yearly percentage salary increase. After a few years, you'll be a trainer and It's possible the person your training will make more than you.
