Pros
The climate at Crytek is very special. It does feel like working with friends. Well, you won't find the "perfect" company. It just doesn't exist! But working at Crytek can be fun. They let you do your job. Never I had more freedom to be creative in my job. It was fun working at Crytek! I left because the salary issue they had and because my job was obsolete.
Cons
Communication was sometimes not very efficiant. Salaries are propably market rate, but low for Frankfurt area.

RecommendsNeutral OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Crytek full-time for more than a year
Pros
Crytek makes excellent games and the international team makes the culture interesting. The company is putting a lot of resources in VR which is exciting. -Very diverse team; the company recruits from all over the world -Passionate people who like what they do -Lots of freedom to try different things -Amazing-looking games and cutting edge tech. -Casual atmosphere
Cons
-Lots of crunchtime. Lots. -Executives are not good at communicating what's going on. -People don't know where the company is headed. There is no focus. -Sudden shifts in direction to projects which results in tight deadlines and crazy overtime. -Salaries seem lower than what most companies offer based on people I've spoken to. -More vacation time. Most German companies offer more.
