I worked at Cubic as an intern

    Pros

I worked in quality assurance helping to test new programs at Cubic. I thought it would be a very intimidating place but overall it was very laid back and everyone was friendly. It's fast paced and if you finish your work for the day there is usually someone in another department that needs some help.
As an intern I received great pay and full benefits

    Cons

Their internship program is a little disorganized and they don't always seem to know what they want interns to do or why they have them. It changes frequently.

    Keep up great work

I have been working at Cubic full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I was offered multiple employment opportunities in multiple locations. Benefits package was standard for the industry. Salary was well above average.

    Cons

Worked at a customer site rather than a corporate site. Communications with leadership and administrative support was not optimal.

    Advice to Management

Provide better support to employees who are "out there" with the customer. Definitely need closer management-level relationships with customers in order to better support contracts.

I have been working at Cubic full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company is growing and changing after the Cubic purchase. Change is hard, but I see great opportunity for myself and the company as we expand the business. Management has been good to work with and the employees that I work with all get along well. We are about to change to a schedule that lets us take every other Friday off, which is a great benefit.

    Cons

It can be a bit chaotic at times and hours can be long when we are trying to meet a deadline.

    Advice to Management

Keep hiring good people and reward those that work hard.

I have been working at Cubic full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Regular work, benefits, tuition reimbursement. There is some room to grow but it really depends on the location.

    Cons

Bad management, little training, high turnover rate. It's basically a lot of data entry, answering phones, other employees don't always show up.

    Advice to Management

Oversee middle management hiring, especially at remote locations and quit using temp services for new employees. They don't select very good candidates.
