Consultants of Fishbowl, I'm 31 and have ~$2m. No kids, student loans, etc... I'm also getting CTL'd. If you were in my position, would you scramble to get a new position or retire early?

        Pros

I cannot think of anything positive to say about the company whatsoever.

        Cons

Self interested bullying CEO that instilled a culture of complete fear. The open plan office of this 'communications' firm was utterly silent, full of men and women with their nerves shredded and spirits broken. Pay was very poor and the bonus structure was constructed as to be impossible to understand . Clients were promised the earth but the work was left to over worked and extremely under experienced juniors who were then put on trial by management in regular impromptu summons to the Board room. Most people were looking for new jobs from the moment they arrived. An absolutely ghastly place. I cannot believe I stayed as long as I did.

I am hopeful I’ll get an offer soon. I have an upcoming 10-day trip in 2 months and am wondering when is the right time to bring it up/negotiate time off: When they send me the offer? If yes, do I tell HR or try to reach out to the manager? When I start the job? A few days after I start?
