I have been working at Culver's full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Exceptional training and development program, enjoyable work, engaged and motivated management and team. My GM, from my first day, has been the best leader I have ever met. Not only is hard work rewarded, slacking and underperformance is non tolerated. This doesn't mean people get fired, this means each person is used for their strengths and is part of the bigger team. My team are dedicated, fun-loving, and supportive kids and adults from all different backgrounds. I love going to work each day.

    Cons

As a franchise, certain Culver's are owned and operated extremely differently. I am fortunate to work at a well-managed Culver's with an owner than is often in-restaraunt. I am sad to read the reviews of others who feel differently as Culver's has truely changed my life.

    Advice to Management

Model Culver's training and development after my restaraunt.

    I worked at Culver's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -Discounts!
Working here gives the employee wonderful discounts to their sweet delicate custard, and their menu items as well to enjoy from.
    -Positive work atmosphere, and employees
You get to work with other employees that care and want to share the experience and to work while making a friend or 2.
    -So fresh and so clean!
Working at Culvers upholds the most sanitary, and cleanliness inside and out of the store. When you walk into the store, the first thing you notice is how clean and well kept everything is!

    Cons

    -Hot!
Working at Culvers, at least in the back in the kitchen, working around the grill, fryer, can cause a lot of heat, and can induce a little bit of stress,
    -Fast paced
Of course working in fast food industry, although not so fast because Culvers reassures a "Fast Casual" food service, the work environment is very fast paced, upholding a sense of urgency in the kitchen, can induce a bit of stress to the employee to meet certain circumstances under a certain amount of time can feel very pressuring, assuring positive customer satisfaction. However, there are breaks in between that give those working in the back a break from the action.
    -Opportunity for everyone.
The management I was working under was amazing, they worked with the employees to work for a perfect schedule, while being able to work around other's schedules. I was able to advance to a crew trainer, however, I came to a dead end trying to hard to work myself up and to prove to the management that I really wanted a position that seemed like it was impossible to achieve, so I felt that pursuing a career at Culvers was not in it for me

    Advice to Management

My advice to management would be that to actively look for the signs of an employee trying to be the cream that rises to the top, trying to be apart of what the values Culvers offers. Look for the rotten apples of the bunch and take action instead of letting it be, because letting those bad apples can spread, and be a detriment to the company itself, because it affects those around the company working, just trying to get the job done and to move forward in the day. Keep it like a well oiled machine, take care of the employees, they'll take care of the company.

    I worked at Culver's part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There is plenty of room for advancement at this location.

    Cons

Sometimes external people would be brought in to run the store, rather than the next qualified manager on staff.
