Feb 11, 2023 - Sales Associate in Santa Ana, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Perfection, great, loved it.. start here
Cons
Hated working on the weekends lol
- Former Employee, less than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Everyone there was kind and friendly, but the structure of the company needs work.
Cons
As a corporate employee, the PTO and holidays are extremely limited compared to all other companies I've worked at. These days companies usually give 10-13 recognized holidays, whereas Curacao only gave about 6-7 holidays. I had to park my car a block away, which wasn't great at night when I had to walk in the dark past homeless people in dtla. On top of that, the company charges employees for parking even though they own the building. I had to work in office, even though none of my work required being in the office. I sat in silence most of the day and all meetings were still online. Bathrooms weren't well kept and pay was below market rate. There was no smooth onboarding. My desk wasn't ready on the first day and took two weeks for IT to set up my desk and computer. It also took 3 weeks to get an access card for the building, meaning I had to wait for other people to let me in each day. I felt like an afterthought and did not stay for very long.

Systems are very antiquated and people have worked at Curacao for along time which makes change very slow

Low pay. Lack of training. Overworked. Increase in work tasks without a suitable pay raise. No flexibility with working from home options.

Pros
Hourly pay not commission, flexibility with hours if part time, if you hate your family you won’t see them on the weekends/holidays
Cons
No commissions, bonuses/promotions are almost impossible to attain, sales goal oriented so employee practices are mediocre

Easy job, fun work environment.

Pros
Coworkers the only thing that makes the job tolerable.

Toxic environment. Too much pressure and expectations. Unbearable and impossible sales goals every week and month. A lot of gossip and trash talking among employees. Not a good place to work for. No weekends off.
