    I worked at Curalate full-time

    Pros

The people (non-estaff) are by far the best and most important asset to Curalate. I think I speak for not only myself but many former Curalators that our teammates were the sole reason some of us stayed at the company so long. Not only were they coworkers, but many became close friends. The perks are okay - stocked kitchen, work from home policy (although the flexibility definitely varies here by team), flex vacation...

    Cons

    - unfair treatment pending on your team, title, or whether or not your popular amongst e-staff - women are treated poorly and unfairly as it relates to career opportunities - they will sell you in on false promises such as upward mobility in the company but never follow through - you will be over worked, underpaid and expected to just power through with no end goal - CEO has questionable actions and his leadership...

    Advice to Management

    - Internally promote!! Take advantage of the people that you have are smart and eager and willing to put in the work but reward them for that at the same time. - Backfill positions - they are ALL important - Listen to feedback given by employees and act on it. Especially when it comes to organizational changes - Turnover is high on the GTM/CX side of the company but not as high on engineering. Figure that out

I worked at Curalate full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

    - Lots of opportunity to do great work and get acknowledged - Generally the tech is advanced, even though the platform isn't user intuitive - Ability to not be siloed in one role and dabble in various different departments getting involved

    Cons

    - Lots of fast attrition, have to be comfortable with fast change - Not a ton of backend support (lack of real HR etc.)

    Advice to Management

Hire managers that are seasoned and provide real support to new managers

I have been working at Curalate full-time for more than a year

    Pros

It's the company you want to be at if you want to be in a start up. Unlimited vacation, food, activities, good money, big room for growth

    Cons

Because we are growing so quickly, you really need to get higher-ups attention if you want something because there is so much going on. Just be proactive about communicating with your manager because no one is going to hold your hand if you don't ask for help

    I worked at Curalate full-time

    Pros

Met some really smart and talented people, everyone was generally friendly

    Cons

A lot of problems such as micromanagement, high employee turnover, unclear product strategy, lack of transparency, lack of diversity, difficult communcation within teams across remote offices, lack of growth opportunities within career one of the biggest issues is that it doesn't seem like anyone is thoroughly addressing problems that employees bring up. it's always a band-aid fix or explained away rather than the...

I worked at Curalate full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Friendly, intelligent coworkers Some startup perks like snacks, happy hour etc Usually good work/life balance Ability to work from home when needed

    Cons

Core products aren't that innovative or indispensable to the companies Curalate targets - which are also becoming a tapped market No job security - they've had a far-reaching round of layoffs and could again in the future. High turnover rate - as mentioned in another review, you will become the most senior member of your team VERY quickly. No potential to learn from more senior team members, as there usually aren't...

    Advice to Management

Replace the CEO. Invest in senior team members and focus on retaining them. Function more like a company and less like an informal hackathon project

I worked at Curalate full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - A young, vibrant, fun junior team that was unfortunately lead terribly - Some very good engineers - Capable, enthusiastic sales team

    Cons

    - A lot of what was said in my interview process (which had seven stages) turned out to be not as advertised - I was hired for a new role but they had no idea how to integrate my role into their business - A core product that is neat and useful but completely non-essential and culture of making the product out to be more than it is - Very ambitious but with almost no concrete plans about how they intend to achieve...

    Advice to Management

Focus on what you do well. Dominate that space then develop in a sustainable way. Trying to 'boil the ocean' and being over-ambitious is working against you.

    Cons

Recent attrition has been tough on morale, but management is taking positive and necessary steps to enforce career development. Company is sometimes quick to abandon ideas before seeing how they play out fully .

    Advice to Management

Listen to and trust your employees. Stick to your guns and see certain initiatives through before shifting gears or pulling the plug. Keep moving forward career development and employees will stick around.

It's a job. They pay you well. They treat you fairly. What more could you ask for?

    Cons

    Advice to Management

Stop catering to the whiners. You're doing just fine. Just keep in mind that you can't make everyone happy. Turnover is unavoidable in tech.
