Shady executives who don't care about employees

Pros

They send you all the equipment you need.

Cons

This company is extremely unorganized and and has pretty much no structure. There is little to no training on how to do your job and how to succeed. Then, if you make a mistake, they offer no insight as to how you can improve. You will be given absolutely no guidance if you get hired. Not to mention, the hiring process to over a month and a half as the incompetent recruiter took an entire week and a half to respond to every email I sent. I witnessed them fire multiple employees without reason or warning. The Director of Operations was the most rude, condescending, patronizing, and actually subtly racist, person I have ever come into contact with. Save your sanity and apply elsewhere. It is NOT worth it.

Pros

I truly love working at Current Health. When I joined I was very interested in what the company was doing and the impact it could have on healthcare. But I wasn't expecting to be constantly impressed at how great the people are. Brilliant, kind, and committed to doing what is best for patients and clients. The leadership team places a lot of trust in people, and I think that shows in the innovation, creativity, and satisfaction of the team. I wasn't sure what to expect after the acquisition by Best Buy, but so far that has all been positive.

Cons

As a fully remote company with teams in the US and UK, we do a lot of managing time zones. I think that most of the time this works out really well, but depending on your location, it can be a challenge. Fortunately we have pretty good cultural expectations around turning off notifications and blocking personal time. As a team, we're doing something really hard (enabling remote healthcare delivery in people's homes). And that sometimes results in challenges that require urgent attention.

Pros

Positive culture that empowers employees to learn and grow. Supportive leadership The executive team actually cares about their employees (the COO reads EVERY employee survey and offers to meet one on one with anyone - not just the Executive Team.) Internal promotions actually happen here. We have had 5 promotions in our department alone in the last year (including my own). They invest in their employees and look internally for upcoming talent. If you are willing to work to prepare yourself for the next step in your career, they recognize that and will support you in every way they can. I feel empowered every day - even before I was promoted to Director. The reason I was able to qualify for this promotion is because I was empowered and received the support I needed to learn the skills necessary for my position. Growing company - New positions pop up regularly to fill a new need as we scale.

Cons

This is a growing company that is going through an acquisition. There are growing pains and some tools are not scaling as quickly as we need. This is to be expected, but can cause some frustration due to inefficiency.
