I worked at Currie & Brown full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The people I worked with (ex sweett) were great to be around. However many of these have now left.

    Cons

Reactive, not proactive with employees, only offered what I was expecting after I had another offer and it was too late at that point, often charge low uneconomic fees to win work and expect employees to make it work.

    Advice to Management

Focus on more diversity with a good balance of private / public clients given that 9/10 times the public sector will go with the lowest fee

I worked at Currie & Brown full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Seconded to clients sites, limited interaction with others and left to own devices unless billing or timesheet issues

    Cons

Unless your in the upper management circle, you’ll be isolated and left out of the overall strategy and business direction. Mainly hiring competitor staff from one firm and replicating their problems in the business

    Advice to Management

Take a step back and look at what is happening

I have been working at Currie & Brown full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    * Small US presence allowing the team members to play many roles and have their hands into many different activities. * Senior Leadership is personable, involved, highly knowledgeable and willing to listen to the team for input. * Not one individual in the US that is difficult with which to get along. * Exiting growth goals over the next 10 years which will involve every team member, not just the senior leadership....

    Cons

    * Small presence in the US can sometimes limit available resources, but it does allow for full participation from their team. * Being a part of a smaller team can place more pressure on each individual to pull their own weight. No flexibility for "riding on the coat-tails of others".

    Advice to Management

Continue down your path of full team involvement and organic growth.

I worked at Currie & Brown full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

decent salary, they leave you alone to do your work as they are so disorganized.

    Cons

U.S. organization is fragmented. C&B management is poaching from their competition (F&G) and it is just more of the same old product.

    Advice to Management

The US is a different market than the rest of the world and we do business differently. QS types are not required so the business strategy needs to reflect change in requirements. Not sure when you are going to wake up and understand this concept.
