    Pros

Great co workers and a good enviroment

    Cons

Management were a joke, poorly run at best. Root cause was the manager, if a different manager was in charge im sure i would have a very different experience

I worked at Currys PC World part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    1. Working w/ great people (luckily, my managers were good)

    2. Training

    3. Product knowledge

    4. Great part time job for young people.

    5. If retail is your career, great experience.

    Cons

    1. The pay was embarrassing & biased. (If you didn't sell TVs or Laptops, forget getting a decent bonus.

    2. Bonus system foolish. (If the store doesnt do well, regardless of how well youre doing, forget decent bonus)

    3. Forget being noticed for being a great salesman.

    4. Progression is little to none.

    5. Greatly understaffed, so more responsibility & targets are placed on the staff but the pay stays the same. :/

    6. Its a huge numbers game & will eventually start eating away at your morals & conscience, if you have any.

    7. Slowly & quietly sucks away your joy & dreams.

    Advice to Management

    1. Acknowledge & Reward those that do well; not just with silly certificates but actual tangible things.

    2. Hire enough staff.

    3. Pay well then maybe you'll have people that are proud to work for you.

I worked at Currys PC World (Less than a year)

    Pros

uhm… there kinda isn't any. you got 10% discount about it

    Cons

bad managers (store level), dodgy company that doesn't follow the law. they accused people with no proof.

    Advice to Management

treat people like humans no matter who they are. the "good" sales people got there treated like gods but "bad" got treated like trash

    Pros

Pretty decent; especially since it was used as work experience so i got to learn quite a bit about retail

    Cons

Since it was work experience, there wasn't much for me to do on the first day and... yeah, i just ended up cleaning much of the time.

I have been working at Currys PC World part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I started in a temporary role over peak, was kept on after peak, but at reduced hours due to budget cut.
Good bonus schemes, good training provided, social workplace, store management transparent with sales colleagues.

    Cons

Sometimes too much of a push from management to hit KPIs

I worked at Currys PC World full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Unfortunately the store I entered into showed no professional standards let alone any pro's to working for them.

    Cons

I left the company two months ago and I am STILL waiting to be paid. No one in the company is taking responsibility for this, and I am struggling to get anywhere.

HR is split between the UK and Czechia so the people who actually deal with the problems are not contactable and the UK HR team has no way of contacting them.

I had another type of HR member looking into my issues, but this lady was also contactable by myself and the rest of HR, so may as well have not exsisted.

The area manager was apparently involved in helping me get paid, but again, I never heard from them and both myself and HR are unable to contact them.

HR has no purpose being a contact centre as they were no help. Daryl the manager/team leader promised to call me back twice, which he never did.

    Advice to Management

HR contact centre is useless and unable to do anything, also no one took responsibility for my issue, and the SLA i was given was pointless as this was simply 'handed to someone else' so it didn't apply anymore.

New store introductions at the very least should be paid when you tell them you will. And if someone leaves this should be held just as important. You cant just ignore that you didnt pay them.
