I have been working at Curtis + Ginsberg Architects full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

-Overtime is not expected as on other firms.
-Most of the staff is friendly and young (20's & 30's).
-Office happy hours once a month.
-Summer Fridays (one Friday off every other week) during July & August months.
-If you ask, you can get exposed to different parts of a project.

    Cons

-One has to basically fight for fair compensation.
    -Bonuses are low.
-Little room for growth within the firm.
-Health insurance offered (paid by employee) has high co-pays.
-Most of the projects in the office look the same.
-Sometimes it feels like high school where only the favorites get the perks.

    Advice to Management

-Be open to new ideas & ways of doing things.
-Give your employees room for growth within the firm and acknowledge them (not only upper management) when they go the extra mile to do a great job.
    - Compensate great work with better job positions, bonuses or pay, whether it comes from a Jr or a PM.
