    Positive Outlook

    I worked at Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent HR department helps equip employees and managers as much as possible to grow and be effective. Good company atmosphere. Nice benefits package. Overall positive environment and nice offices.

    Cons

Politics and red tape. Definitely a sense of hierarchy and attitudes by some (especially brokers) that they are better than the "underlings". This was the exception more than the rule, but it exists. The business can be very cyclical, and especially in property management, the loss of a contract can result in a sudden series of lay-offs.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

large well known commercial real estate company. provides very good benefits, promotes continuing education

    Cons

Turn over has caused inconsistent quality of work. No clear promotional path. Communiication from the top is poor. Don't listen to the workers in the trenches and what they need to do their job.

    Advice to Management

Figure out how to maintain your position on top of the market. Listen to your employees. Too complacent.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq (Less than a year)

    Pros

Formal internship education program -- got to know other interns and develop good background knowledge about the firm.

    Cons

Not much feedback provided. Monotonous work with little willingness to educate from upper management.

    Advice to Management

If you want to retain interns, concentrate on making sure they receive support for their specific role and are able to grow in their position/duties even if it's just for the summer.
