    Pros

    Filled with very nice people who are quite welcoming. Good position for someone who is quick on their feet. Good hours

    Cons

    Plenty of turn-over in the support department kills growth and causes issues with work-load.

    Advice to Management

    Find a way to turn the Support role from a stepping stone into another company or departments and into a long term option for new employees.

    I worked at Custom Business Solutions full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Employees are friendly and the company provides flexibility with family needs.
    Good stepping stone for entry level technical work.

    Cons

    Poor pay with industry standard and almost no pay increases without a fight
    High turn over that leads to heavy workload on the people that actually do well
    Questionable training methods that leave people answering phones when they aren't ready
    No real room for growth into a career that can support paying bills
    Management cares about long term outcome without considering the consequences of not dealing with the current situation at hand.

    Advice to Management

    You have good people working for you. Pause and reflect on why so many people leave and how to truly prevent it. Long term plans are great, but when your best people don't intend on being there for it, you should do something about it. Focus on consistency to reduce attrition.

    Pros

    Great working environment. As you get to know everybody in the company, you make friends and feel like family.

    Cons

    Unless you are at a VP level, expect low pay wages and upward mobility will be a tough one unless you can write code in development. They advertise their POS support as IT Support. Far from what they do there.

    Advice to Management

    You guys have a great little company. Just need to pay your folks more, especially if you do value them.

    Learned a lot from my mentors, good resume builder.

    Cons

    Long hours, worked on Holidays.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your employees, as they might have a idea or two. Have a way to report incompetent supervisors without having to jump through hoops.

    Pros

    The people you work with are great. The customers are great as long as you do your job right and are polite. Great stepping stone for another job and opportunity. Gets knowledge in a lot of different fields, hardware, software customer service.

    Cons

    The managers are very self-focused and not on the people who work for them daily. You almost feel like at times they would throw you under the bus to make an extra dollar or two. Also, there is no growth. They hire externally instead of looking internally.

    Advice to Management

    Treat the good employees better and let the bad employees go. Don't hold stock in the people who don't hold stock in CBS and care.
