I worked at CyberSource (Less than a year)

    Pros

Free drinks and 2 paid lunches per month

    Cons

There is no training and no follow up so if you do something wrong you have no idea. The billing department is underwater and I feel bad for the ones who have to do my work on top of theirs. If you are a perm employee be prepared to have no life!

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to all employees not just the favorites. Look at was is actually being done not just what is said to be done and get some training!

Great benefits since CyberSource is part of Visa.

    Cons

Growing faster than the infrastructure can keep up, using old technology with the inability to provide customers with custom reports.

    Advice to Management

    Push hard for technical advancement

I have been working at CyberSource full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Paychecks, paid holidays, health insurance.

    Cons

Management plays favorites and sets impossible expectations.
Management regularly sets-up employees to fail and promotes negative animosity towards each other.
This company will suck you dry with its inconsistent polices and harsh employment practices. If you like that sort of thing, this company is for you.

    Advice to Management

Sensitivity training for all managers and leads.

    Pros

All the best benefits of Visa: 2:1 401 (k) matching, employee stock purchase program, shuttle buses, gym onsite, pretty good cafeteria

    Cons

CyberSource specifically doesn't get as much budget or resources as we deserve. Visa has such deep pockets and wish we could get more financial support.

    Advice to Management

Visa management needs to better understand who CyberSource is, and what we do!

I worked at CyberSource full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

CyberSource was a dream job when I started. New technology, working from home, an amazingly talented and dedicated team. Great pay and benefits,

    Cons

We handled the Visa transition well, but after our Director was replaced it was all downhill over a 12-18 month period of disarray and toxic management. The best of us left early, now the group no longer exists.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your best and brightest and act before they jump a sinking ship.

    Pros

I loved working for this company. My boss was really easy to work with. The attire was casual and the atmosphere was relaxed.

    Cons

The dept. I was working for was in the process of going away. So my contract job there was only 8 months with no chance of being hired.

I worked at CyberSource full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Initially a great place to be. Focused and energetic.

    Cons

Senior marketing leader gets caught up in clicks, and misconstrues information and under communicates strategy and goals. If strategy and goals are communicated, they often are not 'stuck to'. Allows abusive and bullying behavior while stating it will not be tolerated. Good employees have been lost due to the blind eye of management.

    Advice to Management

Take a closer look at your team and the bantering for position and note the antics that are in play, you have many individuals playing more games than you realize. While a few key people have departed that were causing issues, you still have a few that you are blinded by. Hence you as eel have lost some great talent.
