I have been working at Cybersoft Technologies (More than a year)

    Pros

Great environment to work in, they treat employees very well
    Great healthcare benefits
Everyone is easy to get along with
Any job you have here is what you make of it, it can suck or it can begin a good long career

    Cons

Experiences can vary depending on your role or supervisor, some are harder to deal with, but that's because of personalities. No one is rude or intentionally difficult.

    Advice to Management

Integrate teams more or facilitate more communication among teams- not just the directors. Ideas come from people talking to people. Encourage everyone to always bring ideas forward and don't close yourself off to criticism.

I have been working at Cybersoft Technologies (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    No dress code.
    Free company lunches and dinners.
There are some very intelligent people to learn from.
The software is good. I enjoy working with it.

    Cons

This company presents a professional, laid bacenvironment. It's a farce. This family owned company is full of favoritism and a false sense of professionalism.

Employees are paid with paper checks.
    No direct deposit.
Insurance benefits are expensive and salaries are comparable to industry standards for some people and not others.
Motto ; make yourself look good at another persons expense.

Appearing to overwork is considered doing a good job. Employees are allowed to disrespect others as long as they put the customer first.

Customers are given more respect than employees. There are no policies and procedures. Things are made up 'on the fly.' There is little or no confidentiality between HR and staff.

The sales team makes promises to customers that can not be made good on. The company is under staffed and over commits every year to business they are not able to manage. Upper management passes the buck to lower level staff often.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your staff. Hire qualified HR staff to manage employee issues and concerns or you will continue to have good people leave your company.

    Pros

Great coworkers, flexibility (depending on department), relaxed work environment, strong values and many opportunities to provide creative insight on new projects.

    Cons

Lack of training, detailed vision and communication between departments can cause lack of cohesiveness or overall sense of unified purpose moving forward.

    Advice to Management

Improve access to training and advancement opportunities, allow for decision-making input from various departments and increase communication between members of said departments.

    Pros

Most people start in Support and then move into other areas as they gain experience. Lots of longevity among employees which speaks well of the company.

    Cons

Expect to self-train for the most part on the business and software.

    Advice to Management

Think about building your people. The loyalty will increase dramatically.

I have been working at Cybersoft Technologies full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They do a lot of things right, and the product is great, with the potential to get even better. In many ways they care about the employees, and do a lot of (not salary related) things for them - Summer Barbecue - Christmas Party, 3 weeks of catered lunches during peak season, etc -and good employees who would have been fired anywhere else for tardiness attendance etc are often given second chances. There is a lot of diversity, and people here for the most part are truly good people.

    Cons

Training is nearly non-existent so be able to study, pick up the ball and run with it, listen and learn as you go. The learning curve for this job is long and hard - expect to be working for a year or 2 to be truly good at what you do. Pay is below scale and is salary - meaning you might never leave work on time (at least an hour late is common) and work through many lunches uncompensated. The medical benefits are not good at all, so expect to either go without treatment or have lots of out of pocket medical expenses. Plan for this in the salary you negotiate coming in the door because your pay will likely never increase more than a few percent, and that is for way above average work, and there are no bonuses or other monetary perks to speak of - but your out of pocket medical benefit contribution and other work expenses *will* increase, resulting in less money over time, making it harder to stay loyal and not look to improve. Nepotism is rampant, stress can be very high at times, and some of the people do not have much of a filter in the way they treat others. The company seems a lot like a house of cards at times, without certain key personnel, it would surely be challenged, to say the least. Some scenarios are hard to test so QA can often be lacking and more things get through than should. No automatic deposit of payroll, and payroll checks have bounced twice in 3 years - they immediately made it right and covered expenses, but automatic deposit has been around since the early 90's at least and they need to get with the times. Many jobs require travel and there are no company credit cards and things have to be expensed the old fashioned way - save receipts etc.

    Advice to Management

You have a great product and a lot of great people. Compensate the people you have to keep them here, or spend the money on better benefits. Quit using salary as a way to get a lot of unpaid overtime out of people. Train the employees at least as well as you train the customers. You are also chronically shorthanded in key areas. You want to be a big company and will likely make it - but you are not prepared to be big - you need to invest in more people. Some of your best talent is wearing 2 or 3 hats.

    Pros

Great group of people to work with, strong dedication to hard work and customer satisfaction, opportunities to learn lots of different technical skills

    Cons

Very difficult to advance. Since it is only now growing to a larger company after several years, chances to move up from support do not come along very often just yet.

    Advice to Management

Please hire more staff! As huge as the school nutrition field is going to be with more schools doing universal free meals, there needs to be a lot more staff on-hand to keep the current staff from getting stressed, especially in support.

I have been working at Cybersoft Technologies full-time

    Pros

Team members are excellent. Most of them are respectful and professional.Customer focused.

    Cons

Management doesn't treat employees fairly. Don't give too much effort in a single department, or you'll be stuck in a position forever. Atmosphere is stressful, mostly due to some of the other team members, but also due to management.

I have been working at Cybersoft Technologies full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Team members are excellent. Opportunity to try new things. Career movement for those who want to grow. Trusted to get the job done. Respect for other co workers is paramount. Customer focused. Not much "office politics" as I have had in other places I have worked - and that is very refreshing.

    Cons

Sometimes there are long hours for a growing company. Not much else, in general it is a great place to work, exciting and really glad to be here.

    Advice to Management

    none.
