    Pros

Technology, community involvement, fun employee events like take kids to work day and Halloween, benefits are good with variety of options at reasonable costs, good onsite cafe, good location,

    Cons

Leadership and management is seriously lacking in leadership skills. Definitely shows in the all employee annual survey results that morale is bad, good people are leaving and management is ignoring the real reasons they are leaving. Sr, leadership needs to investigate the real reasons people leave instead of the canned answer they left for a better opportunity. Find out what's really going on and interview those who have left. The reasons are not being shared truthfully. It's costly to lose good people. Work life balance is an issue too.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to be true leaders. Motivate, inspire and respect your team. Some of your senior leaders are hostile and put the company at risk.

Interesting work. You get to work on a diverse set of projects

The multiple levels of management is overwhelming and their doc control system is extremely bloated. They are quick to lay people off.

    Advice to Management

Develop your engineers a little better and don't out source as much

    I worked at Cymer full-time

    Pros

Decent pay/benefits. I liked the sandwiches in the cafeteria, does that count?

    Cons

There are some really talented people, but some pretty incompetent ones as well. I still don't know what a lot of the managers did all day apart from meeting-hopping. There are lots of lifers who are just straggling along in unnecessary positions and there is pushback to improve existing systems that are obviously broken. I was being under-utilized in my role and found myself stagnating.

Two internships and 1.5 years as a full time employee was enough for me. I don't suggest staying there long term as there are not many opportunities to advance.

    Advice to Management

Give good employees a reason to stick around (other than sheer convenience).
