I have been working at Cyngn full-time

    Pros

None, this place is a flaming ball of garbage, stay away. But if you're truly desperate then give this a shot, they are doing anything to get new employees and retain employees.

    Cons

The new CEO asked the employees to write positive reviews on Glassdoor, so here goes, I'm positive this new CEO came in to gut the company and force the ex-CEO out. The new CEO changed strategies and laid off everyone dedicated to the old strategy, then he changed strategy again, then changed it back to basically a version of the original strategy. This used to be a great place to work with very talented people,...

I worked at Cyngn full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great team, the people make the place. The office setup is great and they take good care of you. New members of the exec management team have a strong track record of delivering software product. Employees have the ability to work across the entire Android code base.

    Cons

The company has been haunted by exec managements inability to execute on product development. New exec management members bring product experience and will likely turn this around.

    Advice to Management

Focus on an idea to completion. This is the only way to validate product ideas, choose and commit.

    Pros

-the people -the atmosphere (before the layoffs)

    Cons

-total lack of direction -no job ladders/career path -no support for employees to gain new skills/education -upper management doesn't care about most of the employees

    Advice to Management

hire a real management team, then exit the company.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Cyngn full-time for less than a year

    Pros

This is the perfect startup environment for me. It is dynamic, the product is constantly evolving. People are smart, open, helpful. There's a sense of excitement. And risk and adventure which you can experience within the cushion of a well-provided full-time workplace.

    Cons

There are times when we just don't know what the next step is going to be. On the other hand this is part of real life making a competitive product in a competitive market.

I worked at Cyngn for more than a year

    Pros

The other employees. The snacks and drinks are a plus but for the most part, people are here for each other, not the company. When I got here, I was ecstatic about the team and ideas, we had company events and great people to attend with. As execs got hired, it got worse.

    Cons

    * Management will lead you to believe they have it under control even while doing the exact opposite. * People walked around feeling like every day was their last (Look how 7/22 ended) * HR violations daily. * They will hire new execs to replace the team members. * They will cover the windows to the main meeting office to write a list of upcoming layoffs. * Absolutely no direction and a new pivot every quarter. ...

    Advice to Management

You guys have a long way to go. Bad business deals, lack of consideration of your employees has led to a enormous amount of distrust. If you have no idea what you have under you, you should probably ask someone who does. Also, the amount of buzzwords in meetings is overwhelming, who are you trying to sell to here?
