I worked at Cypress Energy Partners

    Pros

Great culture within the payroll department. I learned so much and was able to grow in many aspects. although the payroll system that they use is someone complex, the complexity caused me to gain an understanding of how payroll works at a high level. There are some ups and downs but I can say that this company is moving in the right direction. Cypress Energy is a great place to be if you want to grow and be challenged every day.

    Cons

There can be a split between some of the departments at times (mainly in terms of communication). That being said, during my stay this summer I was already able to see improvements in that aspect.

    Pros

There are no pros of working for Cypress

    Cons

Looking to hire trashy attractive women for the “country blumpkins” that they hire for inspectors to look at. Looking to rid out the older inspectors to save money on health insurance premiums

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Cypress Energy Partners full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The company (TIR) used to a family oriented company, before they were bought out by Cypress Energy. The TIR CEO took care of you and your family. He is still there but not in the best situation to make strides in the right direction.

    Cons

Once Cypress and new CEO took over the company it became a numbers game and micromanaging was introduced. It became normal for managers to yell at their employees during staff meetings. Must be a "Yes" man to work in management at this company or you will get fired the first time you disagree. Favoritism is very evident and only a few people will get raises year after year. When you apply for a job they ask for information that most companies don't ask for like high school transcripts, last years W2's, and previous performance reviews from former employers. Hiring process is long and tedious.
