I worked at Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center Hospital full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Well established, had a good presence in the community

    Cons

If we had the ability to hire more employees, the hospital could have reached out to other communities to build business and interest.

I have been working at Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center Hospital part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent pay. Decent benefits. Convenient to where I live. They supposedly have a nurses union but it's kept a big secret & no one talks about it.

    Cons

For profit organization & patient satisfaction is the only focus. Treat staff terribly. Very political hospital. Many staff persons are treated unfairly.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better or you will alway have poor reviews.

I worked at Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center Hospital part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Coworkers were great to work with. The pay is higher than at most hospitals. The patients were
    mostly very nice.

    Cons

Hospital is run down and equipment is always broken or missing. Management is terrible and they work
    you to death.

    Advice to Management

Be more mindful of the workload you give
    to employees.

I worked at Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center Hospital part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

For my position, working weekends only really worked out for me. The nature of the work was pretty straight forward.

    Cons

They had me working two units at a time when the census was up. Having to walk back and forth for needy nurses, was a little more than stressful at times. You could have stayed at one unit for a whole hour and the minute that you left to go to the other unit, they would conveniently need you again.

    Advice to Management

Have a back up for high season.

I worked at Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center Hospital full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Everyone worked as a team and most were considered part of family.

    Cons

Some of directors were not supportive of employees.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees ,they have a lot more experience than a lot of directors coming in. They have good points and can save department downfalls.
